Halfords Autocentre Middleton
Went for a mot that they failed due to a loose headlight and wanted to charge me £250 to fix it. I did take the car home and fixed it myself they then charged me £14.99 to do a retest to what ive since found out should of been free as i did take the car back the next working day. I contacted halfords regarding this and got totally ignored. I would avoid this place unless you want to be scammed.

Great customer service being served by a young women behind the till ! I do believe she was the manager, her explanation and breakdown about my MOT was amazing. No other mechanic or representative has ever explained a mot feedback as good as her. Definitely would recommend my female family and friends to this place as I could tell she would definitely be genuine and not take advantage of female customers like other smaller garages do!

Autocentres get a bad rap but I want to mention the very professional service we had when we had our MOT and Service. Chloe on the front desk was attentive to our needs and kept us informed all the way. Drop off and pick up very smooth and at the end some recommendations were made and we felt under no pressure from the team at all.

Took my car in for a cam belt change and had brilliant service from Chloe who advised on costs and recommendations. Even though the cost of the cam belt change was more than previously quoted by no fault of Halfords, it was explained very well before drop off and I had brilliant communication throughout - was very impressed!

Nice & trustworthy staff. They never take the mickey. Reasonable prices. Been here multiple times and I've always had decent service. There's usually parking just outside but if not, there's parking spaces at the back of the estate. They offer quite a lot, for the size of the place. Lovely people.

I was in between garages (last mechanic retired) and wasn't sure where to take my car for a service and MOT.A friend had been using Halfords for a while and so, reluctantly, I gave them a go. To my surprise it was a seamless experience. Car went in at 0800 and was ready by lunch. There was no attempt to find work that didn't need doing and I was kept informed of progress via email/text. In short, I will be using them again and would recommend.
