Russian Orthodox Church

A small piece of Christianity in the north-east of Nottingham! I attended this church for four unforgettable months during my stay in England. Nice people, very kind rector Fr Gregory, I miss you!

This is a reply to Truth Desciple. When there are noisy children in church it means that parish is not dying and also if you hear what's around you you might not be fully engaged in the Liturgy and your prayer. Perhaps you don't need to be satisfied only with what's right and perfect in front of you. Please see if you can re-consider and try again.

This is a wonderful place with a humble, friendly parish and a big heart. It helped me keep my spirits high during my stay at The University of Nottingham.

A participation of the heavenly life! Good friendly people too and service in English.

I had attended services there for several months before I left the city. The church was very cosy and the atmosphere was great. People were very friendly, especially the priest, father Gregory. They also held a lovely small tea-party after every Sunday Liturgy where everybody could have a cup of tea and good conversation. I really enjoyed my time there!

Службы ведутся на церковно славянском и английском.Great well established and traditional Russian Orthodox church, with a spiritual priest and a very warm and friendly paritioners. The services are served in a mix of English and church slavonic languages.

The Russian Orthodox Church of St Aidan and Chad in Nottingham is a wonderful place for worship, prayer, communication... It's a multi-cultural multi-ethnic community. The services are sung both in English and Church-Slavonic. Everyone joyfully sings Our Father, the Creed and the pre-Communion prayer together which bonds all believers in one Body of Christ and creates a strong sense of community. The latter is also enabled by communal meals after the service with especially wide variety of cuisine on the feast days. There is a Sunday school for kids. Several pilgrimages are organized each year. Everyone is welcome to come!Русская Православная Церковь Св. Эйдана и Чада в Ноттингеме - прекрасное место для поклонения, молитвы, общения ... Это многокультурная и многоэтническая община. Службы проводятся как на английском, так и на церковно-славянском языках. Все дружно и радостно поют Отче наш, Символ веры и молитву перед Причастием, что объединяет всех верующих в одно Тело Христово и создает сильное чувство общности. Это также обеспечивается общими обедами после службы с особенно большим разнообразием блюд в праздничные дни. Существует воскресная школа для детей. Каждый желающий может присоединится к хору и научится петь. Каждый год организуется несколько паломничеств. Приглашаем всех!
