It's an Aladdin's cave for door fetishists! Prepare yourself for rows and rows of beautiful and often unique doors of all ages and types - we bought extraordinary full-height one (two?)-of-a-kind stained glass doors but there were many lovely things. Barry is a treasure too - making us feel like long-lost friends almost from the moment we met! Pricing was keen and this place is sitting in a beautiful part of the New Forest - we made a day of it and hit the beach afterwards. We couldn't be happier with our doors - thank you Barry and team.

Fantastic to visit and see the incredible doors Barry has. We bought Art Decco French doors for our living room and noticed a matching front door was available. Result is stunning.

Barry is an absolute fountain of knowledge and a pleasure to deal with. You can tell he has a real passion for preserving beautiful period features and passing them on to people who will appreciate them for many years to come. We're delighted with the stained glass door we bought from Barry and his team at English Period Doors. Having seen a couple of doors online we went to the workshop where Barry was able to advise us on sizes and styles, and we bought an art deco door and had a frame made to fit. We're very happy with our beautiful new door and had a great experience buying from Barry - not only is he obviously passionate about what he does, he's a lovely friendly guy who makes a great cup of tea!

We've had what I can only describe as a horrid door since we've moved to our house. Finding a replacement however been difficult as its hard to find something appropriate for an Edwardian property which is also the right size, as our doors are way bigger than standard doors.Then I found English Period Doors, a niche company that specialises on old doors. I explained what we wanted and provided the dimensions and Barry, the owner, came up with several great candidates.One we especially liked. As it happens though, even this door was a little too small but Barry explained that it was within the margin of adjustment.In the end we had them alter the door making a bit wider and taller, create a matching fan light (looks amazing doesnt it!), get rid of the letter box and generally clean the door up and finally fit the door and the fan light.During the whole process they kept me informed and sent me pictures. The fitting was great as well. A really good experience all in all and nice people.We think it looks stunning and feels as if it always belonged there. Cant describe how happy we are, it has transformed our hall.

Came across an amazing old stain glass window on the website which was perfect for our house renovation. They could frame it for me and knowing nothing about joinery I thought it was expensive. How wrong was I?With prices of wood soaring in the current climate, I found out from a joiner friend that the wood alone would be expensive but when Patrick delivered the window (and a beautiful Georgian door) to South Yorkshire, he explained the difficulty of making an arched frame. First they had to make a prototype to ensure that the final frame would be of accurate size. Just look at the workmanship in the photo. These guys are professional to the highest degree.The door I bought was too tall but Patrick cut it down to the correct size before delivery.Patrick was a super guy to deal with, as was Barry. Very down to earth and always kept up to date with progress. I cant wait to send photos of the window in situ, super excited. Thanks guys :)

I found English Period Doors via eBay as they had such a huge amount of doors available. I was after a very specific size as my old door was very wide but not very tall. Barry guided me through what was possible in terms of resizing etc. and was always at the end of the phone to talk it through. I am exceptionally happy with my new door, it has transformed the house.Not only did Barry help source the door but also helped me commission a large piece of stained glass that matched up to the door to be fitted above the door. He is truly knowledgeable about all things doors and more impressively genuinely passionate about what he does.

Fantastic door, lovely glazed panel and a custom made frame from Barry and his team. We bought directly from the website as we couldn't travel due to the lockdown. Barry was easy to deal with, and prepared and trimmed this lovely period door and arranged the transport for me. We are totally pleased with the door and service we received - will definitely call into the workshop after the lockdown for a cuppa - and find an excuse to buy another door!!
