We've just had afternoon tea at The Whitby Club in Ellesmere Port and as afternoon teas go it was really lovely. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Five varieties of sandwiches, pork pies, sausage rolls, freshly baked scones with a big pot of clotted cream and jam and lovely fresh yummy cakes, also garnished with grapes, strawberries, red onion chutney, orange slices and greenery. As much tea and coffee as we could drink. The staff were lovely and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We've had a lot of different afternoon teas and I must say this is well worth trying and excellent value at only £8.95pp. Absolute gem and we would definitely go back again for another, what we couldn't manage was boxed up for us to bring home too. It's a big thumbs up from us.

Excellent room (The Oak Room) to celebrate 60th Birthday- just the right size.

Just had my husband's wake in the Oak Room. Catering was first class and the bar staff were lovely. Thank you everyone who works there.

Had a private function there...the bar staff were really great and personable. Would recommend

Went for a rave bingo night the service was extremely slow. There was one time I went up for a drink and they refused to serve me saying I was too drunk ….. the chance would have been a fine thing which I found ridiculous …. They certainly need to reconsider there staffing levels and there ability…

I went to a wedding reception there. Nice place with good staff. Wheelchair access, but a lot of people struggling to open the outer door! I would have given them an extra star rating if it wasn't this. I'm sure it something that they will get sorted out?
