We travel an hour to this shop as the service is superb. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Great tennis stringing and advice provided. Our 'go to' shop for our son who is a National Pathway player. Shop always has great stock in so many sports. A real treasure of a proper sports shop. Thoroughly recommended.

What an incredible experience! Went to Gyles Bros looking for a new tennis racquet. I’d read up on a few, but was still pretty in the dark on what to choose. Louie was awesome. He had about a half an hour chat with me about the tech and pluses and minuses of certain racquets. Really knowledgeable and definitely wasn’t steering me towards the more expensive models as I’ve found elsewhere. I’d come a fair distance and Louie sorted out stringing for me there and then. I can’t recommend Gyles Bros highly enough. One of the best shopping experiences I’ve ever had. Definitely stop on by - you won’t regret it. I love my new racquet but it was all the more sweeter knowing that I’d had expert advice and guidance. What a place!

We've been coming here for years to buy tennis, hockey and cricket clothing and equipment. They cater for many other sports too. Very personable and knowledgeable. Today's shop was for junior tennis shoes, good range, quality and prices. My youngest's impulse buy was a basketball. Nice touch that the staff checked the pressure before handing it over. Highly recommended.

Went in for a new tennis racket, having very little idea what I was looking for. The staff were incredibly helpful and took the time to explain the different types of rackets and which ones were similar to my previous one. Really knowledgeable and friendly staff - highly recommend!

Great independent shop, was in the market for a squash racket upgrade, went in for advice and found the staff very knowledgeable. Asked for a deal on a racket and shoulder bag combo and was given a sweet discount. Highly recommend!

Absolutely incredible place - very helpful, knowledgeable and patient staff. I used their tennis racket demo service (£20 deposit to test out as many rackets as you like, and deposit goes towards the price of a racket if you buy one). They were then able to give me great advice on string types and tension, and am really pleased with my new racket. Very competitive prices too.
