I’ve just had a fantastic experience with Hames and Sons. They are professional, polite and were at my house and sorted my lock within 30 min. And they didn't charge the earth! I totally recommend them.

I would highly recommend Hames&Sons. They came and fitted a new chubb lock on my front door with no drama whatsoever even though the old lock had beed painted over and was tricky to remove. Of four called, only company to answer the phone. Arranged visit for following day. Ross texted to say he could come half hour early. He adjusted the dropped uvpc porch door speedily and efficiently and pointed out that the loose handle could be a problem later. At my request he changed it there and then. Locksmiths are never cheap but the pricing was clear from the outset. Professional and friendly service. Recommended.

Came back from holiday to discover back upvc door lock had given up the ghost. Despite it being Saturday Mr Hames came within half an hour and had a look for us. He explained (and showed us what had gone wrong with the lock). We have old upvc and so the part was obsolete. However he managed to create not only a fix but a totally secure door unit by adapting another part! Amazing stuff.Will DEFINATELY be using again and recommending.
