The Lagom Clinic

Yesterday, 19/9/23 I had my first session with Dr Jack Ogden. I am writing to say how impressed I was with the professionalism, and friendly attitude of all at the Lagom Clinic, but especially Dr Ogden. I spent an hour with him and emerged feeling far more positive, energised and enlightened. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Ogden and the Lagom Clinic. And financially? It was worth every penny.

We had such a positive consultation for my husband, who has Parkinsonism, with Dr Jack Ogden. He saw him at very short notice for the purpose of providing a fitness to travel document and we really appreciated his acuity, professionalism and courtesy. I would have no hesitation in booking again should I need medical assessment or treatment.

Extremely thorough, attentive and caring appointment with Dr Ogden for my elderly father who has Parkinsons' dementia. We felt really well cared for and all results were received back very quickly. So happy to have found Dr Ogden & the Lagom clinic!

We have found Dr Ogden to be extremely approachable and helpful. He is always ready to respond to our queries and to make time for us. He has addressed our medical needs efficiently and very effectively.

Today I had the great pleasure of meeting with Dr Jack Ogden for the first time at the Lagom Clinic. Dr. Jack is a charming and very likeable person who dealt with my issue in a very efficient and knowledgeable manner. Highly recommended without reservation.

After the Covid pandemic it's been very difficult to find a reliable doctor that can spare more than a very brief time discussing health history and an accumulation of various complaints attributed to a traumatic life going back (what seems like) centuries.It was refreshing to get a recommendation to see Dr Jack Ogden - even though having to travel to see him for quite some distance - the relaxed ambience was well worth the effort. To find a total gentleman doctor complete with empathy, consideration for my aging years, and with an appreciation of the quirks that come with such a state, was like being in the heart of the Sahara and striking gold.After years of travelling the world as a journalist and having to deal with despotic regimes where more often than not you have to suffer exceptional indignities, to know there's still an attentive and efficient medical ear residing in Bristol is in itself, life giving.Dr Ogden was a fountain of knowledge, highly effective and a breath of fresh air. I could not sprinkle praise more supremely in the direction of this remarkable doctor. At no point did I feel under pressure to round things up as my time was nearing its completion point. To anyone needing to find a private GP, I would recommend Dr Ogden. It's easy to make an appointment. I was seen in just a few days, and was referred to see a surgeon. I could have been referred to an NHS consultant. I was listened to, given a diagnosis, and choice of treatment. Good as it gets.

I had a strong sense of trust with Dr. Ogden, he is up-to-date, very thorough; he considered my health from all angles, including the conditions typical for a person of my age, plus diet, exercise, and medical history. A highly efficient, service offering very good value for money yet with a strong personal touch.

Jack has a wonderful bedside manner. I've been to see him twice and have been impressed during both visits. Quick and efficient but I didn't feel rushed, as can be the case with tight appointment slots. I came away feeling that his goal was to promote my overall health, and wasn't limited to only addressing the symptom that prompted me to schedule my consultation. The longer appointment (30 min as opposed to NHS 10) allowed more discussion of my general well-being, habits, and lifestyle rather than requiring that go straight to symptoms and diagnosis (which is often necessary but can also result in a prematurely narrowed field of possible diagnoses/treatments).
