The Oxford Brush Company

I have had the joy of visiting the Oxford Brush Company a handful of times at their Burford shop. Everytime I have been welcomed in by friendly and knowledgeable members of staff. I have approximately 25 of their brushes now and everyone who comes over (prior COVID!!!) has complimented the radiator brush and I’m sure have gone off to purchase one themselves!

When I bought a feather duster a few years ago I thought it would be robust and good quality justifying it’s £30 hefty price tag and now realise it is made of a hollow wooden handle which basically snapped and demonstrates that it is not good quality at all - would have got better from Dunelm or any other company basically. When I asked for a refund or replacement they said that as it is 2 years old they could not help. They wanted me to send it back for investigation for their benefit but would not guarantee a refund or replacement stating that ‘their legal team’ said you have to claim it is not fit for quality within 6 months and we all know they have no leg to stand on. A feather duster is expected to have a longer life than 2 years, yes? Shame there is no photo option or I would have posted them. DO BOT BUY FROM THE OXFORD BRUSH COMPANY OR THEIR AFFILIATES - AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Came in looking to see if they had some options for stocking fillers, and just about left with the whole shop! A brilliant young woman working there helped with any question I had, even played what I am loathed to admit was a brilliant game of “what’s the brush” and by god there were some fun ones.Even left with a brush for my dad for between his toes!All in all, if anyone is in the area, do not come to burford without going to the Brush Shop!

We visited Burford on a whim in 2019 and came across a shop selling brushes, just brushes. So in we went because I needed a new hair brush. After paying what felt like an eye watering amount of cash for a new pear wood and hogs bristle brush we carried on perusing the high street. But here's the thing, I'm still using that brush four years later. It's showing no signs of wear, and I have a feeling that it will see me out. Now here's the thing that concerns me. If their products never wear out, where's the repeat trade? Surely that can't be good for a company.

Really enjoyed my time in Burford, especially at The Oxford Brush Company! I never thought a shop that only sells brushes would exist, it was truly amazing. We even made a few purchases as I had been looking for a good nail brush for a while and the normal cheap plastic ones are not good enough, so I was very happy to find some 'proper' nail brushes.

I struggled to find some copper Magic Balls. I bought them online from The Oxford Brush Company. Good price and delivered promptly!

I walked past this store while exploring the delights of the Cotswolds in December and my curiosity got the better of me... ‘A store just for brushes?!’ I thought and entered this treasure trove! What a store it is, there is a brush for EVERY occasion, big brushes, little brushes, long brushes, short brushes! My Christmas shopping for the whole family was complete in minutes, guided by the wonderful and exceptionally knowledgeable staff! If you are in the area this is a must visit! Far better than Bibury and other local places.

Visited the shop a couple of days ago and enjoyed a look around the large selection of brushes - you wouldn't imagine there would be such a range of things to have different brushes for. We only bought a very small item, but the lady in the shop was so pleasant to us, easily one of the nicest interactions we've had at a retail outlet in a long time - so big thumbs up for service - keep up the good work and hope you enjoyed the coconut mushrooms!!!

I visited the lovely high street of Burford in August and found an extremely unique but useful shop in 'The Oxford Brush Company'. The shop was stocked full of useful brushes & items all made with natural eco friendly materials.The range carried from firm bristle traditional nail brushes, to outdoor dustpan and brushes and even shaving brushes. It was great to find a company that clearly focuses on providing the highest quality of products. The staff member was very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the products on offer. I purchased a vegetable brush, a nailbrush and a feather duster during my visit and I will definitely be visiting again.I recommend this shop to anyone visiting the area, you will not be disappointed!

I bought a radiator brush. It's the softest goat hair and does an excellent job of getting dust out of the fins inside our radiators. Delivery was a bit costly but justified. To prevent this long flexible brush from getting bent in the post it needed a sizeable cardboard tube which will come in handy for storage too.
