Florence Nightingale Community Hospital
This Hospital, a few years ago, was part of the DRI ( Derby Royal Infirmary ). I've been here today to have some physiotherapy on a leg after an operation. The staff where thorough and friendly. There is a large pay carpark, but the spaces are rather tight, not suitable for people on crutches or a wheel chair, I couldn't see any special parking spaces at all for disabled, but there is a drop off and pickup zone. Nice Bistro/Cafeteria when you need a coffee while waiting

Went for a blood drawing. Rear public entrance door was locked. Check-in computer didn't accept me and several other visitors. No public water dispensers on a hot day and no open cafe to buy water at. Blood drawing was quick and well performed, however.

Went to this hospital for the first time for an ultra sound scan. Seamless checking in and the specialist saw me on time. An excellent experience from beginning to end.

Continuing treatment at Eye Clinic. As always the staff are amazing. Their care and commitment to helping patients is outstanding. However busy they are, patients are treated with the utmost care. Thank you

Superb experience within the Dermatology unit at this hospital. All staff from the person who greeted you at the front desk through the nursing team to the doctors and consultants could not have been more approachable or kinder. I was booked in for an urgent screening to look at a mole that I suspected might be a melanoma. Having seen a very capable junior doctor, she asked her senior colleague to look at me. His conclusion was that the mole was benign but when I explained that my father had died of secondaries initiated by a malignant melanoma on his leg, his reaction was sympathetic and caring. He also picked up on my anxiety and asked if I would like a definitive biopsy test for peace of mind. On replying that I would I was booked in and returned a couple of weeks' later. Again the experience with the nursing staff doing the test was outstanding. I left feeling relieved and like I was in really good and caring hands. THANK YOU!!!

I have a relative who has suffered severe abdominal pain for more 2 weeks. On Monday GP referred them here for 2 ultrasounds, with a message to ring the ultrasound dept for an appointment. On Monday afternoon, the hospital had received the request but 'a doctor had not yet approved it'. On Tuesday afternoon, it had been approved but still awaiting a clinician to approve it, 'normally done by 11am the following day'. Rang Wednesday, still not approved by clinician, try again tomorrow. Skipped Thursday & rang Friday. Still not approved by a clinician, it may take up to two weeks, ring back if you've not heard in 2 weeks!! At least one of these discussions was with a receptionist who could barely make her English understood, it was that heavily accented. The service received is not as advertised by their GP, and the story on each occasion with the ultrasound dept is not consistent from one day to the next. And this just to get past the referral stage to allegedly book a future appoinment, whilst having gone another week in severe pain. Which message is correct from the ultrasound department, that referrals are approved by a clinicaian by 11am the day after referral, or that the referral process can take up to 2 weeks? At least you should get your story straight between you all. And that's nothing of the complete failure in your service over about the last 12 months.

Staff so helpful. My MRI scan was on time and everyone involved made me feel so at ease. I am not a fan of these scans and I would like to say a big thanks to the hospital staff for the way they helped me throughout. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted and helped with directions to where I needed to go. Parking not the easiest so worth allowing a few spare minutes to find a space.

Can’t get hold of them despite having seizures. Putting me at risk with a long family history of seizures. Disgusted. Constantly on answerphone. No patient care as far as I’m concerned
