Devon Cookery School

Really enjoyed my half day at Sensational Seafood. Jazzi was a great teacher and the demonstrations were very easy to follow and copy. The food we made was amazing, met some lovely classmates. Took a doggy bag home for my mum and she said it was fantastic.

I took a recommendation to find and visit the Devon Cookery school, and they really did not disappoint.The course held 4, of maximum 6 people of widely varied ages from 16 to 48 and differing skills, and all were made very welcome and the level of attention given was fantastic.The course I took was in Korean cookery, but the content and discussion was widely applicable throughout all different areas of cookery you could imagine, from baking to equipment, flavour balance to preference of tomato sauce brands! Jazzi and her colleague, Jess, were great fun, very experienced and generous of their time and attention.Interaction, questions, challenges and opinion were all welcomed in a very informal and friendly environment. I enjoyed it hugely and would definitely consider returning, despite the 6hr drive from Yorkshire (my day out).I have no problem recommending them to others. The team deserve great praise for the efforts on the day, the open environment they generated and the business they have created.Thank you so much. I had a blast!

I recently attended a Cookery Class. It was interesting, informative, and fun.Everything was explained clearly, enabling us to prepare and cook a tasty menu. As well as cooking skills, other aspects, such as knife use, were covered. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The course was an enjoyable experience.

The day was a happy experience and I look forward to the next course. The class was a good size, set in an ultra modern, spacious, kitchen. A great scope of pastry techniques were learnt and the cookery teacher, Jazzi, was very talented, helpful and friendly. So were the staff. A truly excellent day! Sebastian and Angelica.

Just did a festive food class and thoroughly enjoyed it. Beautiful kitchen environment that is well set up for a cooking class. Clear instructions and demonstration provided and the ladies regularly go round to check everyone is getting on ok. Also included was a light lunch and teas/coffees which was nice after a long drive there. Would highly recommend and will be booking again in future!

My friend and I attended the Sensational Seafood day and had a thoroughly enlightening, delicious time.We were a group of 6. Jazz and her assistant were welcoming and put everyone at ease. Tea and coffee were readily available.For each dish we sat and listened, watched and questioned the preparing and cooking process then got to sample the chef's dish before cooking and eating or own dish. This was repeated for the scallops and mussels in a gorgeous creamy curry sauce which we ate for lunch with freshly baked bread.The panko prawns we prepared but took home to cook and eat at home ( we were so full) and the chef prepared the sea bass for us to enjoy after our mussels.I can honestly say that the quality of the ingredients, the extra tips we picked up, the instruction we were given throughout plus the taste and dishes we ate made the day a wonderful experience.We are definitely going to be booking again with Devon Cookery School and can't wait to try Mexican or Thai next.

Our company, Launch Online, recently had a team-building event at Devon Cookery School. The facilities were amazing and Jazzi and the rest of the team were fantastic, welcoming, fun and extremely knowledgeable. They provided clear instructions, gave demonstrations and helpful feedback throughout the class and we had so much fun. We made a variety of dishes, including a delicious Thai Green Curry and a mouth-watering lemon cheesecake. Overall, we had a great time and we would highly recommend Devon Cookery School to others. It was a fun and the whole team really enjoyed the experience!

Had a really nice day at the back to basics course. Jazzy was a lovely lady and her team of 2 other ladies who were helping throughout the day. Really nice food and I brought away some nice food and some good tips. Would thoroughly recommend and hope to be back again sometime in the future. Many thanks indeed.

I attended the Korean Cookery Class after being gifted a voucher. It was very relaxed, informative and was made to feel at ease from the moment I walked through the door. The course offers hands on learning as well as watching. Lots of food to try and you can take home the food you prepare yourself. A perfect way to learn and try new foods.

Absolutely loved it !! I can now make a beautiful tasty Green Thai Curry.Jazz and team are so helpful and friendly, No question is to silly to ask and had a lot of fun ! The kitchen is also beautiful to. Can’t wait for my next class.Thank you so much x
