South Manchester Gates fitted an electric gate and intercom entry system to my company's car park. Since installation the panel overheats in sunny weather rendering the intercom useless and the gate can only be opened manually. Despite repeated complaints over the course of a year to South Manchester Gates they have not even attempted to fix the problem. False promises about when they will come and take a look, order parts etc and now they just don't return our calls. We are paying for another company to fix this and they were actually shocked at the equipment that had been used - cheap c**p" in their words! I would strongly advise you to look for an alternative company and avoid this one!"

After being let down by another Company I called south Manchester gates, in a bit of panic from being let down, Laura on the phone quickly calmed me down took my details and I was called back by Tom that arranged a call out to fix my none functioning gate, and later in the day TomCame out and diagnosed the issue, I received a quote and parts were ordered when I agreed to the quote, Andrew and John came and repaired the gate and it’s as good as new, I’ve just signed up to a maintenance contract so I’m not left with this issue again! Can’t thank you all enough!!

Could not be bothered to turn up after a week! No calls/emails to let me know what's going on. When I've used them in the past, they were very expensive anyway, so will no be using them from now on.

As with the previous review, my experience with this company was extremely poor. We had gates installed at a block of flats at a cost of just under £10k. They broke down repeatedly within months. The company charged a call out of £216.00 to 'clean debris from the track.' The gates broke down within days of this visit too.

Absolutely amazing service from start to finish. Made initial enquiry and had an engineer on site within the hour, gates were fully operational again within 24hrs and that was only because we needed a new part and didnt call them till the afternoon, can't recommend these guys enough.

Excellent quality fencing and very good overall price. Atention to detail re weather conditions and wind issues . We had to wait a little while but they are busy. Anybody that is this good is well worth the wait. I can definately recommend.

DO NOT USE THEM !!! You have been warned... called the company to come in to see if they could help me fix electric gates in a new home... Thomas came round had a look and informed me that the gates needs a service and that should fix the issue.. He asked me to book for the next week as slots where going fast.. i called them to book and asked how much it would be, and was informed it would be 160 per hr... i decided to book.. Thomas came back to my house to service looked at the gate again, and said its a safety hazard and began to point out a number of things which he could not fix and it basically needs to be condemned. I was in shock and asked how has his assessment changed from last week to this.. He looked at me and said i am not bothered with this' and began to storm off !!! he then said it would actually cost around 2k to fix now !!! Thomas did not even recognise me or my house from the previous week.!!! hence the reason i think the price changed so dramatically... The worst customer experience i have ever had..."
