I was looking for a car for my mother and was told to try Formula One Car Supermarket and ask for Lee. I've always been wary of car salesmen and especially when they promise to look after you" if there any problems after selling you the car. But I honestly can't fault Lee. I've had two minor issues that we dealt with. He was always available and even went the extra mile in picking up and dropping of the car. Great customer service and a great guy. Thanks!"

After going round many of the popular garages with no success being made to feel that my budget was too little and one even tried to get me to take out further finance. I called formula 1 and spoke to grant. I advised him I was sceptical about buying from them as I had seen the reviews weren’t great he reassured me that he understood my concerns but promised that those were due to an old salesman and said he only had positive reviews which I had noted already. Grant was true to his word and he looked after me very well and I was delighted at my the choices of cars I had. I fell in love with a car and had noted some of my concerns to grant. He sorted ALL of my concerns and has promised to look after me in future if anything happens with the car. Grant was so lovely and seemed very genuine I have every confidence in him and will certainly be back when needing another car! I highly recommend formula 1 and also recommend asking for grant!!

Delighted!Dealt with salesman John who couldn’t have been more helpful. Knowing that that was the car I wanted I paid a deposit which held the car until I was able to see it.In the meantime John was able to answer all the questions I had and even showed me the car over a video call. A few days later I was able to test drive the car and even then there was absolutely no pressure. Nothing was too much trouble even when I wanted the car that day!Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely recommend dealing with John and Formula One Car Supermarket in the future.

Would be very cautious of this place, f1 sold me an absolute shanner of a pickup truck, what seemed like a great deal at first, low mileage l200, has turned out to cost me thousands.They had it mot’d for me when I bought it with the only advisory being a slightly worn brake pad, im certain this was a dodgy mot, as since owning this vehicle I’m now 4 grand on repairs, where do I startdpf needed cleaned, blown gasket, all new back brakes, both back leaf springs replaced, front shock absorbers replaced, front disks, pads and callipers replaced along with numerous engine problemsThis was a vehicle with only 48k miles on it, now at 61k after a year of owning it, mainly motorway miles, something just doesnt add up. AVOID

Fantastic service from a fabulous store. I found the salesmen and manager all to be super friendly and helpful. George sold me my car and answered any questions I had. I will definitely be back. I have recommended formula 1 to all my friends and family. Thank you!!

AVOID - Would give zero stars if I could. !!Where to start. Wife & I purchased a 2017 Land Rover Disco Sport at the end of July for £15K, which was to be serviced as part of the sale. Upon completing the paperwork/payment, and being walked out to the vehicle we were told at that point the car had only 1 key. We were not happy about that but were advised that they often get the 2nd key sent through a few weeks later.. it never arrived and F1 were not willing to cover the cost of supplying a 2nd key.When driving the car home after picking it up, we noticed the Service Due message was still displayed. We called F1 and were told to bring it back at the weekend and they would turn it off. We did that, but when we returned they were unable to turn it off. We were asked to come back a few weeks later as they were awaiting some new equipment and could then turn it off. We went back a few weeks later, they had the car for about an hour but still couldn't turn the message off. This really should have been picked up when they prepared/inspected the car for handover ! They said we would need to take the car to a specialist in Lesmahagow to get a software update so the service/ad-blue readings would work correctly.Unfortunately, we never got as far as even getting the car booked in to the Lesmahagow garage because after just 67 days of ownership, the car broke down (while we were in York). We called the AA who suspected a failed timing chain/guide, and they towed the car to an Independent Land Rover Specialist in York. We had to get the train home and leave the car down South. The garage in York diagnosed the car, which was catastrophic engine failure.. it needed a new engine and also new turbo as parts of the engine had been sucked up in to it. Quote, for reconditioned parts supplied & fitted was £12.5 K !!We contacted F1, and were put in contact with the General Manager. They failed to recognize their obligations under the Consumer Rights Act (where if there is an issue within 6 months the onus is on the Dealer to prove that there was no developing issue at point of sale). F1 seem to think that if you don't take their extended warranty, then they have no responsibility for what they sell you. These 3rd party warranties have a limit per claim however (normally £2k or £4k) so would never have covered this in any event. F1's response was that the garage in York didn't know what they were talking about.. they said we should get the car towed from York to Lesmahagow and get them to fix it (at our cost). They still fail to recognize the Consumer Rights Act.Thankfully, we had purchased the car via HPI which we arranged seperately. So, we were forced to contact the Finance Company, provided them the AA report, findings from garage in York plus all email communications & text messages to F1. The Finance Company found in our favour without hesitation that the vehicle likely had issues at point of sale, so we have managed to cancel the agreement & the Finance Company will take the vehicle which is now an uneconomical repair. They advised it was a clear cut case. If we had not taken HPI, our only other avenue would have been taking F1 to court. We will be making Trading Standards aware of this also... as this company should not be trading if they are not aware of, or do not recognize, their obligations under the Consumer Rights Act.Having seen some other reviews on here since purchasing, I really wished I had paid attention to them.Don't be fooled by their large showroom & forecourt. Learn from other peoples mistakes and give this place a wide swerve even if the price is decent.

Popped in on 19/11, I didn't see what I was looking for so let Boyd know what car I was looking for. I was very specific with details and thought I'd be waiting a while to find the car I wanted. I hadn't even left the garage forecourt and Boyd called to say he had found the exact car I had asked for and with in my budget.Picked the car up on the 25/11.Very helpful and got the car I wanted within a week. Thanks Boyd. We will be back in a year or two to upgrade.

Can't fault the service I received from George at formula one car supermarket, I couldn't make my mind up what type of car I wanted/needed and after being showed around several cars and getting all the information about the cars from George I finally found the perfect car, my volkswagen passat I've had it for over 3 years now and am still happy with it. Seamless from start to finish. George was excellent to deal with, honestly can’t understand these negative reviews! No pressure at all, was undecided and changed my mind on a car and George was super helpful. Really happy with our purchase and would recommend to anyone! So many cars to choose from and they go through inspection/mot and valet before you take away. Comes with warranty and option to purchase extension if you wish. Great garage and guys. Thank you!
