Spencer & Broadhead Ltd

I booked my car into Spencer & Broadhead after having a service at a main dealer. The dealer told me I needed new brake discs and pads all round. David picked the car up from my workplace and brought it back later in the day. After the garage checked the brakes I was told the discs and pads did not need to be replaced and there was at least another couple of years use in them. What a breath of fresh air to get an amazing service from a business. Needless to say I will not be going back to the main dealer for any work to be done on my car but will be using Spencer & Broadhead in future. A great big thanks for saving me money.

Great customer service, I use them for all my families cars, MOT, Servicing and repairs, And have done so for over 10 years We wouldn't go anywhere else. Keep up the fantastic work.

Went to this garage to have my car battery checked as my cars diagnostics said the battery was low, start/stop had stopped working and my interior lights had begun fading quickly and then stopped all together. They did a quick test and said battery charging fine" and they would "NOT advise a new battery". 2 weeks later - flat battery!!!! Very disappointing and incompetent service provided."

Very helpful staff. Stayed in touch daily with progress report and supplied free curtesy car. New cylinder head gasket fitted, replaced timing belt, good job done well. Thanks.

Very friendly and helpful staff, had an issue with the break switch and now a battery department. They are very knowledgeable and great quality and quotes. Will be using them more from now on.

I cannot recommend this garage and the team enough. I have VERY limited  knowledge when it comes to cars, and have always felt awkward  attending a garage until I started using Spencer and Broadhead.( It was actually the Rac breakdown man that recommended them) This is my 4th year with them ....the service is always professional, 100% trustworthy and they go beyond the expected level of customer care.I took my car for its MOT last week. They couldnt do enough to accommodate my working shifts and finding the most cost effective outcome.Thank you so much, 5 star service yet again.....see you next year lol

Cannot recommend this garage enough. David and his team have been absolutely amazing during the repair. My O/S/F brake flex pipe failed and split causing my brakes to fail. Luckily I was stopped at red lights near home and not driving 70mph down the M1! I pulled over safely and investigated the problem. Having a fair bit of knowledge about cars, I immediately realised what had happened... brake fluid dripping on the floor and brake pedal sinking. I called RAC rescue and they were brilliant. The RAC technician recommended Spencer And Broadhead as they are RAC approved. I can tell why.During my car repairs I was informed of each step, was told exactly what was happening daily. David recommended changing the opposite side brake flex pipe too as it looked cracked and to prevent any future brake failure which is a scary thought! Once the pipes were fitted, Dave and his team tried to bleed the OSF caliper but rust and corrosion had sheered off the bleed nipple so a new caliper was required. The car is 19 years old so what do you expect? Other garages would have charged me extra labour costs but Dave kept the price fair and even fitted the new caliper without extra charge! Brilliant. It's hard to trust garages, especially this day and age where everyone wants to rip you off but Spencer And Broadhead are legitimate and honest. I'll be coming here for any further garage needs and Mot's from now on!Can't recommend them enough.*EDIT* 23rd October 2023, I took my car back for its MOT on the 6th October. It failed on some welding work. The mot tester, Andy, showed me exactly what was going on. He explained it all perfectly. I left the car with them for the work on Friday 20th October, David kept me informed about the work and explained the car won't be ready till Monday (today 23rd October) they let me borrow a courtesy car free of charge over the weekend. I got a call on Monday saying my car was ready and all the welding done. Andy has done an absolutely spectacular job. I'm very impressed. The garage gave me a price and stuck with it. Even threw in a free mot retest! Honest garage that has earned my trust. I'll be coming back. Absolutely brilliant! Even put in a new battery holder for free.

Absolutely first class service and repair quality from these guys. they tell you exactly whats going on with your vehicle in layman's terms and dont do any unnecessary work. Courtesy cars are available too. These guys are so good i recommended them to my mum who also uses them
