I just completed one of Julie's workshops, and I loved it! She makes learning pastels so fun and stress free! She explains everything very well, and her calming voice is nice to listen to as you learn. Highly recommended!!

Just finished a 'Take me to the Beach' workshop with Julie Swan (Walsh) and it was absolutely game changing. I learned so many new tips. I excited with new confidence for my next painting.I love how Julie takes time to answer all the questions and provide whatever resources are needed. She teaches in a very easy to understand manner. Would highly recommend her workshops.

Absolutely brilliant Beginners Pastel Workshops . I challenged Julie as I have absolutely no artistic talent . So for one evening a week for 3 weeks , Julie patiently taught myself and the rest of the group about paper quality , different pastel mediums , and how to layer colour for best results . The evening was always over too quickly -but then my friend and I could enjoy a glass of wine in one of the bars close by to compare notes .Each week we came away with something that at least resembled what it was supposed to .The most relaxing way to spend time out if you have a busy life - thoroughly recommend.We have already booked our next session .

Julie painted a beautiful beach scene for me. It always makes me relax and smile whenever I look at it.

I have taken one class and have another one booked for this month. Julie is warm and friendly and allowed us to use her large collection of art supply's (was like a kid in a sweet shop). She taught us many tricks and I learnt so much. She helped me bring my work to life with a little suggestion that allowed me to bring home a picture I can be really proud of.

I've recently had my fourth pastel workshop with Julie who, as usual, was very friendly, helpful and informative about techniques, pastels and the best paper to use. I highly recommend Julie's workshops. They have a relaxed, fun atmosphere and are really enjoyable. You'll be amazed at what you can produce under Julie's expert tuition.

You will not find a nicer or more patient lady,she will always point you in the right direction to improve your art.
