On the 20th of January our catalytic converter got stolen. On the 21st of January I called several garages in the area to get a quote. I called Paul Johnson Motor Services and got a quote, the price was good in comparison to other garages so I booked an appointment. On the 28th of January I arrived there at 8:30 for the appointment, the lady at the reception greeted me and told me that the price had changed and it had increased by 140£. I was shoked! I never got warned please bear in mind the price might change depending on..." That was misleading communication. I chose them thinking I would have my car repaired for a good price and then this happened. I had no other option if I wanted to have my car fixed right away. I talked to the manager about this aspect to what they said "it is a logic thing to know the price might change". All I said was " fair communication is everything I was asking for". So yes

Honestly this garage is Shambles, i called one day and got a quote for £418.20 for a corsa head gasket. Call the next day and now its £821??? How does that make sense. Anyway i agreed to this after alot of back and forth, phone calls etc etc. Now Paul Johnson himself said i dont really wanna take the job on. What a waste of time! Which garage picks and chooses the jobs after leading customers on. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GARAGE! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!

The owner is very rude and abrupt. He talks down to you and when you try to explain something to him he glares at you with an annoyed look on his face as he did with me - I tried to explain an issue with my car and he sat there and scowled at me. I've heard other people say that he's rude as well.Other mechanics haven't been like this with me at all. Clearly, the idea of manners seem to be lost on him.

My car was due it's mot this garage was just round the corner from me and it was convenient to take my car, I received a phone call saying it had failed and given an estimate of costs which I agreed and told them to proceed, upon collecting my car the quote had actually nearly doubled in price, they tired to get 4 new tyres out of me but I told them to replace the 2 which was worse and the other 2 lasted for over a year and then was only an advisory on this year's mot? So clearly not in need of replacement the rear spring they fitted was actually inspected and it was the wrong spring it was for an estate and mine is a coupe. Anyhow I handed over £1025 they had my car a week it was absolutely filthy and there's a car wash just next door so when your spending that kind of money you'd expect.them to at least spend £10 getting it cleaned it's just more professional, anyhow I picked my car up the rear spring was making a hell of a racket I phoned them and they didn't want to know they then said my price was wrong and was chasing me for the mot cost which I believe was £45 I didn't pay it as I was so wound up with them they completely ripped me off my car made no noises when it went in and when it came out the rear of the car was horrible.
