The quality of coaching at this club is excellent. The teaching methods allow you to pick up the lessons easily. The support offered by the club is awesome and it is quickly becoming a brilliant group of friends. Definitely recommend!

I found out about Catch 22 from a team mate who lives in Brechin. I can honestly say I’ve learned more in the past 9 weeks to benefit my BJJ style than I have in 3 years at my old club. I live outside Dundee and it’s well worth the journey. Plenty of us car share so that’s an added bonus because it’s a great place to train.Shaughn Vos is an amazing coach and has created a fantastic place to train with such a fantastic team spirit. No BS, No culty behaviour, just a guy who loves his art and loves sharing it with others!

Amazing coach and atmosphere.

During lockdown I was told by a friend that there had been a Jiu Jitsu guy from South Africa that had moved to Brechin.Being one of the very few practitioners of Jiu Jitsu in Brechin I wanted to seek out this mysterious fellow BJJ enthusiast as a potential training partner closer to home.To my amazement Shaughn turned out to be not only a black belt of over 10 years of experience but also to be the best Jiu Jitsu coach I’ve ever had the pleasure of learning from.In the time from our first session on some puzzle mats in his garden in the freezing cold at 07:00 in the morning to my now multiple weekly sessions at his Catch 22 academy, I’ve had the absolute privilege and pleasure of learning an incredible amount about Jiu Jitsu.I have easily learned more in the last 3 months than I have ever learned previously and for sure will never learn Jiu Jitsu under another coach.Shaughn has an incredible ability to coach you on your level and for your style, body type, physical attributes and most importantly your needs.I can not recommend Shaughn and Catch 22 enough, if you come and try out a class I promise that you will be back for more.
