Box Local is the most brilliant initiative I experienced in my 1 year and half stay in St Albans. I am about to leave and I know I will miss my veggie box so much! Fresh, juicy, lovely food, nothing to do with the plastic flavours you find in big supermarkets. Food is locally sourced; thus, Box Local is also environmental friendly and a sustainable solution, not having food travelling for hundreds of miles and sometimes coming from exploited earth and slavery work conditions. Box Local encompasses all the best: healthy and high-quality food together with a fair-trade market. If you leave in St Albans you should not miss it!

Wonderfully fresh and tasty fruit & veg delivered every other week. Super friendly service and would highly recommend. Makes such a refreshing change to have different fruit & veg to cook with each week rather than picking up the same (plastic wrapped) stuff from the supermarket - box Local is SO much better!

Delighted with my wonderfully fresh local fruit and veg box.I ordered a medium and it was good value considering how much meat, fruit & veg we got. Everything tasted delicious, the purple sprouting broccoli, asparagus, mushrooms and potatoes in particular were absolutely scrummy. I made some gorgeous lamb kofte with the mince and the sausages were divine too, ooh and the chicken! Can't wait to try another box & so pleased the fruit & veg is all grown locally. There's virtually zero food miles here!
