J4 Campers

Just finished our second trip in James' vans and have now been in both.Both vans were very nicely fitted out and very comfortable to live in. As others have mentioned James is very friendly and both bookings went without a hitch.I would thoroughly recommend J4 Campers and look forward to booking with him for a third time - maybe in his third van! :)

We rented the Sports camper from James to take on our trip to North Wales for Festival Nr 6 2017.The camper was a great size although we decided not to take the awning due to our pitch restrictions at the Festival. The camper was a pleasure to drive and a great space to spend a very wet weekend in North Wales. James introduction to the workings of the camper and its equipment was excellent and thorough. We had a great weekend in the Camper at the Rewind South 80s Festival, Henley-on-Thames. Hiring it meant that we could drive right in with all our kit, no hauling heavy barrows across country! There was no hook up for electricity at the site, but we were able to charge our phones, and use the gas stove, lights and fridge with no problem. The Camper was great to drive, and seemed economical to refuel. It comes with all 'mod-cons', and the large awning was a godsend. There is even a large library of music to dip into! James was very thorough in his walk through of all the equipment, and also on hand at the end of the phone if we had any questions.I would certainly recommend J 4 Campers, and hope to use them again soon.

We had a great couple of days away in one of James' campers. He was really helpful and accommodated our last minute booking, very friendly and obviously passionate about his campers!The van was incredible, thoughtfully set out, great to drive and economical. We liked the fact that extras such as the awning or barbecue come at no extra cost.In fact we liked it so much that we have now bought a camper van! Not quite up to this standard but maybe one day! We had the very best weekend in the long wheel base camper. I haven’t stopped telling everyone about it. It was such fun and the kids literally loved it. James provided an amazing service, being really flexible and helpful, easy to communicate with and an all round top guy. The camper was just perfect for a family of 4 (we have a 4 & 1 year old) and everyone slept really well considering the excitement levels! We didn’t even go far from home, but to be under the stars was brilliant. The campervan has everything you could need to cook meals, make hot drinks, etc. And you can wash up in the sink! Compared to camping in a tent it is relative luxury. The awning was useful for storing bikes etc. when we went off for a little trip during the day time. Everything seemed straightforward and easy to use - following a thorough talk through from James. It was just so much fun. Great service. Thanks so much!

Amazing camper van and service! We hired the van for a week and drove about 1200 miles around the UK, the van never missed a beat. It was lovely and smooth to drive, well equipped with tv & dvd player, 2 ring gas hob, sink, fridge freeze and an incredibly comfortable bed.It was quick and easy to set up for the night and take down and drive away the next morning, or simply into town.James provides well maintained camper vans, great service, helpful and friendly. Cannot fault, would highly recommend and hire again.Thanks J4,James

Cannot recommend J4 Campers enough. We hired the van for Glastonbury and the van was amazing - really comfortable, clean and has everything you need. James is so helpful and goes above & beyond to ensure you know everything about the van. I would never hire a van from anyone else now! Fantastic van and fantastic company

The customer service is so warm, genuine and informative that it is is by far the best hiring experience we've had. The van is so well equipped and thought out, it's a real pleasure to go adventuring in. We took our van down the West coast of France with a toddler (plus one on the way) and had the best time. Would have no hesitation in recommending J4 campers again and again.

As this was our first time hiring a modern camper van, we did not know what to expect when we turned up on an industrial estate in Sussex to meet James and pick up our Sport Camper for a weeks holiday. What we got was a very warm welcome which put us at ease straight away. From first finding J4Campers online, to starting the booking process, to turning up and being shown round the camper, James' customer service and communication was excellent, a pleasure to do business with.We were given the tour of the camper, which was not only very clear and informative, but fun too (even my 4yr old enjoyed James' tour). The only part of the package we did not physically put up at J4's base was the attached blow up awning. James fully explained how to erect it and with slight trepidation at our first campsite later that day, we actually found it incredibly easy and quick to put up. The Camper itself was very well laid out, very comfortable (especially the memory foam mattress) and a real pleasure to drive, making our weeks holiday a real holiday. We were even off grid for 4 days and the leisure battery, thanks to some help from the solar panel, lasted with no problem at all.Overall James made our first experience of hiring a camper van so easy and pleasurable that I would defiantly use J4Campers again (unless we decide to buy our own and then let James do the conversion for us)!

We hired the sportscamper for a long weekend and it was totally fab. It was kitted out with everything you need and made it so easy to just grab some clothes and go! It was easy to drive and my five year old son loved it, in fact it was like a home from home. There was plenty of storage space and the elevating room for the top bed meant we slept 4 comfortably. The air awning made life easier too as it was quick to assemble and gave us extra living eating space. We'll definitely hire one again!!!
