Green Highlander

I have the fishing aptitude of a prairie dog, but my wife is dead keen and I bought her a day fishing with Peter for her birthday and it more than reingited her love of the sport.Peter is a relaxed and highly knowledgeable host and guide, he took us to a beautiful Highland loch and was soon rolling us out on the water and gently talking us through the ins and outs of a trout fly cast. Not only was I surprised to find that I didn't feel entirely inept, it wasn't too long before I had a pull on the line and Peter was showing me how to land my first ever brown trout. We went onto have a great day, landing fish, losing fish and shooting the breeze. Peter was a patient, easy going host and raconteur throughout - a great way to spend a carefree day in the Highlands.

Peter was great, super patient, attentive and fun. He found us a beautiful spot on River Ness and took care of everything we needed to just start fishing. He also had great recommendations on things to do nearby.

Had an absolutely wonderful time fishing the Ness River with Peter as guide! He is extremely knowledgeable as a guide and is equally a great teacher. Had me making some good spey casts in about 15-20 minutes! He is also very responsive to emails and did everything possible to make sure I was able to have an enjoyable fishing experience during my recent vacation to Scotland. Thank you Peter!!

Had an excellent days fly fishing on the Ness.Peter looked after our party of 8 organising turns and introducing novices to the joys of fishing, while encouraging the more experienced.A most enjoyable day.

Total fishing newbies, we thought our trip to the Highlands would be the perfect opportunity to give the sport a go. Peter took us out for a half day fly fishing. It was a superb experience, we learnt so much, caught a fish(!) and had a lot of fun . Peter was a great teacher - very calm, encouraging, and explained things clearly. Peter was so lovely! He was wonderful to organize the day with, quick to respond via email, and gave such great instruction. Most of us (myself included) had never fly fished before and found it so approachable with his guidance. We had a rather large party and his colleague that accompanied him, Mark, was incredible as well! I can't wait to fish with them again! Would certainly recommend Peter as a knowledgeable guide to anyone looking to fly fish in this gorgeous landscape.

Great fishing, great tuition and a great bloke. Couldn’t recommend Peter from the Green Highlander enough. If you want to experience fly fishing in the highlands at any level he’s your man. I was complete novice fly fisherman but Peter had me casting out in no time. Great, expert advice and help.

The highlight of my Scottish Highlands vacation! Peter was great - very knowledgeable and personable - and he knows the best fishing spots. The scenery was gorgeous, and he made it all feel very relaxed and enjoyable. Highly recommend - I’ll definitely be back!
