Sanderson James Estate and letting Agents in Levenshulme

Please, prospective tenants, do not rent with Sanderson James, or landlords, rent out your property with these people.We have had the worst service as tenants with them over the years. They have lied to our landlord saying his property was in 'good condition' when we have for years warned Sanderson james of serious structural damage to the property through rising damp and leaking pipes (see photos including mushrooms growing inside..) . They send round cheap and unskilled contractors to patch up the job. The jobs never get fixed. He had no idea.Our poor landlord came round today and was devasted by the condition of his property. Despite us reporting all problems over years and raking photos, they never passed any of this onto him and also blamed us for delays to work saying that we were uncooperative which is why the work took so long.They are unreliable, unprofessional and have caused us mental and physical (prolonged black mould and damp exposure which they refuse to repair adequately) damage.There have been many more things which they have done but not enough space here.We have complained many times to them over the years and they never, ever accept responsibility.We have now officially complained to ombudsman but wanted to warn others....Really, to save yourself A LOT of hassle - do not recommend!!!

I bought my first property from Sanderson James they were really helpful and efficient the process was really smooth. I didn't have to put any effort in as they were doing all the hard work for me. I would strongly recommend them as a sales agent.The Lettings and Sales staff were very approachable. They also recommended to put the property on the market to rent. Their fee's are reasonable and very competent to manage any properties. Highly recommend.

I contacted Sanderson James with a request to sell our property in November last year. Immediately I had a response from the valuer who came to the house and took the photos and an hour or so later our house was on the market.I asked that I receive text messages with the viewing details as I often can't answer my phone and that was not an issue. I dealt with Dougie mainly with email enquires and he was always prompt and courteous. I couldn't be happier with the way the sale was handled. Especially during the current climate.I'd be more than happy to recommend Sanderson James to anyone in the future.

Poor agency. The agency ignore emails about property upkeep and safety. When phoning up you are 9 times out of 10 going to have someone be rude to you and not listen to any complaints. Poor from a tenants point of view and I’m sure if the landlord knew more about this agency they wouldn’t be using them. Awful, horrible company.

Was very pleasantly surprised by the standard of service offeredby Sanderson Jones. I dealt mainly with Louis, who alwaysreturned my calls and kept me well informed at each stage of my housesale. Impressed, would definitely recommend.

Louis Cave on the sales side is excellent (and Dougie and Ian). He is professional, efficient and pleasant to deal with. He kept me well informed throughout the sale and nothing was too much trouble. I would have liked to give five stars but because of my mixed experience with lettings over the years felt unable to do so.

My partner and I have spent the past year looking to buy our first house. The house we purchased was via Sanderson James, but we also viewed various other properties with SJ. We've had viewings with a number of estate agents and I can confidently say SJ have been the best experience of them all. Dougie, Louis and the team are extremely helpful, efficient and friendly. Not only during viewings or offers but in the process of us buying our first house, I can not fault how helpful Dougie has been. We have received updates and very prompt replies, it's made our experience so much easier. My experience with Sanderson James in selling my house in Manchester was excellent. I live abroad and nothing was too much trouble for them. They called me to keep me updated, were flexible with appointments and made the who;e house sale experience run smoothly and efficiently. I sold my house using Sanderson James in Levenshulme and the experience was very good.When i asked for a valuation the team fitted me in quickly, and gave me a fair assessment and idea of what sale price could be achieved.When i decided to press ahead viewings were arranged promptly and the team handled all queries, including letting in tradesmen/valuers.Offers were presented to me in one go, so i always knew what was on the table.The process from start to finish was exactly as the team had described to me in our initial discussions, so there were no surprises.All in all a good experience. We were purchasing a house through Sanderson James. From start to finish we couldn't fault the service we received from the team especially Louis. We were constantly kept up to date with how things were progressing with the chain via phone and email. The team were able to offer us reassurance when a situation occurred which was out of control of the sellers. We were very happy to get over the line and move into our home a few weeks ago.
