I discovered ALDI only recently, and I must say that is my new favorite supermarket in town. The only one still with a decent quality/cost ratio.

Terrible store! never a check out open, forced to use the horrible self service machines which are fine to use if you have 4 or 5 items, not so convenient if you have more. I used to use this place for my weekly shop but after tonights experience, im going back to Tesco!

You can get most of your daily groceries at affordable prices. Staff are friendly as well. If you are buying bread just check the expiry date as they are mostly close to expiry. All in all, best value for money overall.

Attitude of staff depends on what you look like. I look Eastern European, they ID me when I buy 0%alcohol cider. I’m also 33. I do not look under 25 . When they see me if they cut my way. I finally had enough after going there for 18 months almost everyday and logged in a complaint (a lot of apologises nothing done, obviously, they have their own backs) Like they push you out, these people are comfortable with you not having where to buy food just so they can have a bit of gossip and use the little power they have. I checked Lidl out, same prices better quality and the walk is worth it than having to put with these ones.

Good prices as always, but customer service could be better. Went for my usual shopping and this woman that was in charged at the self service area was so rude, mind you the shop wasn't that busy. I had an item set aside which was already scanned and she ended up scanning it for me again. I then told her that it already went through the first time so there was no need to scan it again and she kept telling me that I bought two of them, which I didn't. I think I would know what items I bought in the first place. She didn't say sorry for the mistake and her tone was just rude towards me and other customers. Other customers also talked about her on the way out. In addition to this, the fridge/freezer isle had three workers in the way, barely doing anything which made it impossible to shop. It felt awkward and claustrophobic so me and my partner ended up not buying most of our stuff. One of the workers even used a product item to stand on, to reach a higher shelf??? I would hate to be a customer and see the item has a shoe print.I think there's a lot of staff training need to be done. I'm a usual customer and had never seen the woman before.
