Amazingly fresh and delicious food. The vegan onion bhaji chaat was incredible - thank you! Will definitely be coming back.

I could say I'm lost for words, but the following contradicts that! We're in Hereford for the weekend and some local lads recommended the yard as somewhere good to go for a drink. We headed down on sat afternoon and watched enviously as people were ordering food from barabeka, we'd just had lunch elsewhere. So we booked a table for that evening.... now I'm lost for words, the food was just amazing, hot, fresh, so tasty that it felt like someone was dancing on my tongue!!! Superb atmosphere in the yard and the friendliest of staff..... woukd come back to Hereford just for food from Barabeka. Portions were generous and so reasonably priced. Cannot recommend enough! Credit to the guys for such a great venture!!

This is the best curry in Hereford. Very limited menu, but all of it is excellent. Fluffy naan bread, stunning rice with sweet, whole spices and garlic cloves, smokey pork curry and great dips. The crispy chicken naan is fabulous. The chicken is arguably the weakest point, but the relishes, pickles, garnishes and such more than make up for it. At full price, reckon on £10-£17 a head. And your difficult mate with parochial tastes can have a burger.

Really good food but overpriced for what it is. Love the concept and food is very tasty but £15 for curry and rice out of a small tin is simply overpriced. They should take note, a price point you’d associate with festivals 8-10 per main is acceptable. £15 for the mains is too steep for what it is I’m afraid. People benefiting from eat-out-to-help-out won’t be feeling the sting at the moment. Maybe once this is over they should review their pricing. Good luck.

I never buy Indian takeaways because they don’t taste like I think Indian food should taste. However the Dark Kitchen is on a different level. Everything made fresh right down to the homemade nan breads! I LOVE THIS FOOD. And if you love or think you hate doughnuts (then think again) because the cardamon cream homemade doughnuts are an absolute treat. Love the Dark Kitchen

This place had great food, tables are a bit tight for more than 4 people but the food was much better than expected.

We've been eating at the Dark Kitchen since it and The Yard opened and now go back every week for a Friday treat. We're all veggie, and their onion bhaji chaat is superb, but if you ask nicely, Mike will also make you an onion bhaji-loaded naan which is wonderful! He also made a squash curry for us for the first time yesterday which was rich and sharp and delicious and *just* hot enough. I should have taken a picture of it, but couldn't wait to wolf it down TBH!

an exciting new venture from Rule of Tum, I enjoyed a very tasty curry and dhall, the best ever naan bread and a cardomon custard-filled doughnut which was so delicious it makes my mouth water just thinking about it. You can taste the curry was prepared with freshly ground spices, and there was a refreshing little side salad to compliment all those flavours. Well worth a try, and incredibly good value too.
