A great way to cross the river. The electric ferry is totally run by volunteers and is an amazing community asset.

What a hidden gem! Thoroughly enjoyed our return trip across the river. A friendly team of volunteers run this service perfectly!A five minute walk to the right on the other side brings you to the Weir pub, serving great food and drinks.

Volunteer run ferry ( check website for times) from the lower downstream end of Sunbury Lock across to Sunbury. Very useful way of crossing the Thames, as the two nearest crossing points are Hampton Court Bridge downstream and Walton Bridge upstream. At £2 per person really good value. A fantastic community effort - please use it if you can.
