Travelodge Derby Cricket Ground

We stayed here when we went to Alton Towers, the room's heater did not work, so we were given a electric heater. Apart from that everything was good. Good night's sleep, helpful staff, good breakfast.

Cant praise the staff enough. They were very helpful despite having to cope with the many extra customer's which came to see the Who in concert at the cricket club last night. Dispite all that they coped admirably even cracking jokes keeping us all entertained. The food was good and cheap. A great stay. Many thanks.

We stayed in the Travelodge Derby Cricket Ground for a few nights and walked in. We were greeted by the receptionist, who was more than accommodating and made sure we were aware of possible busy times for the restaurant, which I thought was lovely. We went up on the elevator and went to our room, which was a beautiful room, much bigger than the pictures stated. The door opened with a keypad, and walking in, there was a single bed and a double bed with a beautiful view. Tea and coffee facilities were there, and the toilet was spacious and clean; a chair and a small office desk were there. The shower was lovely, but the drain was a little slow. I think that was an isolated issue and probably got fixed by now. The breakfast was buffet style, and I thought it was nice and high quality; it does cost extra, but I would say it was worth it. It was easy to access the city centre by foot, and we were satisfied with our stay.

Best Travelodge I've ever stayed at. Great location, free parking large spotlessly clean room with a lovely view over the cricket ground. really comfy bed and a powerful shower. Brilliant value for money.

Rooms tired and bed fairly uncomfortable. Rips in my bed sheets and drunken idiots coming back to the room at 3am with no security. Good location and price was cheap. Thank god I was only staying 1 night. Will be back to Premier Inn again from now on.

Lovely place with free parking. Room slept 4.Nice view of the cricket club if on a higher floor.Unfortunately, we had no hot water as the boilers had failed. Staff were attentive & we got a refund.I would go & stay again though.

Awesome customer service, beautiful welcoming duty manager - i want to say Dina - but I may be wrong....The room was accessible and the breakfast was great!Had a lengthy chat with Dina (apologises if that's not your name!) when I checked out and will be passing on some nuanced feedback regarding things wheelchair related - but generally a great stay for what I needed for a short stop in Derby!

The staff we met were friendly, helpful, engaging and clearly enjoyed their work. An absolute credit to the company. The hotel is ideal for a trip to the cricket ground. We stayed there for a concert at the ground and were given a room overlooking the pitch, so we could watch the support acts without leaving the room and getting soaked.The food menu is basic, but the quality and service was excellent.

Good location, hotel feels a bit run down.My room was fine, but my sister was staying on a different floor, the air conditioning was leaking on the bed, the cold water didn’t work.There were people across the hall from her smoking the devils lettuce in their room and the whole floor stank. She complained to reception and they refused to do anything despite her having a child with her.
