My mother was referred to a hub bed here and the room was obviously not ready to accept a patient newly out of hospital. Room was unclean with medication stuffed down side of armchair and remnants of stale food. Previous patients named medication in bathroom and clothes hanging it wardrobe. The excuse was we are short on cleaning staff. You try to talk about your family member and they breach data by getting patients muddled up. Clothes go missing even though your taking them to wash yourself. Truly terrible experience and feel so sorry for elderly people who have nobody to speak up for them. Care is terrible.

My mum was really nervous to go into this care home. However, she found it a wonderful experience. All of the staff on camilia ward are wonderful. So up beat, caring, hard-working, professional. We can't thank them enough.

Good care facility for elderly ... Not so good for the workers or carers

Had a relative stay temporarily at the care home while recovering from an injury and was frankly not impressed. First of all the bedroom was clearly not cleaned out from the last person, other patients medicine/belongings were scattered about the room and bathroom while the floor had also not been cleaned. Getting in contact with the care home is almost impossible, you can phone for hours and nobody will pick up. To get in you need the receptionist to press a button but unfortunately there is rarely anyone available to open the door meaning you could be waiting for hours before you can in.

Our mother has received the kindest and most thoughtful care in Camelia Ward - all the staff, both medical and caring, take the greatest of care, and the time, to really look after her as an individual... and they're also mindful of the importance of encouraging her independence too, so she's fully restored to her old safe. We all feel very grateful that she has been able to recover here.

Lovely friendly employees. This ia an extra care housing, residents have flats and live independently, but it also has 24 hour care, from supporting with medication to full care.
