Wheeldon Trees Cottages

We stayed at The Farmhouse for 3 nights and were blown away by it’s luxury. The house was well equipped with everything you could need as well as the added special touches. Steve & Hazel have thought about everything at Wheeldon Trees, from the honesty shop packed full of necessities and goodies to the fabulous games room! The location was very peaceful with the only traffic being the cows crossing the road. Cannot wait to visit again!

Amazing first trip the Peak District and we couldn't go wrong with this amazing accommodation. Not only is it beautifully decorated with touches of luxury but it is the little things that count. The welcome tote bag full of local goodies was so thoughtful. It really started our stay off with a warm fuzzy feeling. Thank you Wheeldon Trees Cottages for a wonderful stay! We will certainly recommend you to others and will be back some day.

We stayed for 2 nights in Elliott cottage for my daughter’s birthday. The cottage was well equipped and we were given a lovely welcome pack. The cottage was warm and cosy on what was a very cold weekend in Derbyshire. Sunday we woke up to a heavy snow fall. The location is convenient for many of the Derbyshire attractions such as the Tissington Trail and Chatsworth. Both of which we visited. We would stay again

This was our first visit to Wheeldon trees and what a lovely place it is. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped, the welcome pack waiting for us was excellent and much appreciated. Everything we could need was there with the added bonus of EV charging on site. Some great walks from our door and the use of electric bikes if needed. We loved our stay in Walkers Rest and will be returning in the near future. Highly recommended.

Wheeldon Trees is a great base for exploring the Peak District being in a quite spot but close to Buxton and Bakewell. The cottage we stayed in was very clean and comfortable and the owners were incredibly helpful and welcoming. There are two good pubs within walking distance, a number of great walks direct from the site and we appreciated use of the honesty shop.

We stayed at Wheeldon Trees Cottages for a week in July and it was perfect. The communication with Steve we received prior to our visit was excellent giving us all the information we needed in advance and very clear and welcoming.We have a lot of boxes to tick as my husband is a wheelchair user and we have a dog but they ticked every box and exceeded our expectations. Starting with the warm welcome from Steve and Hazel, to the comfortable cottage with great attention to detail and stunning location, for us it was perfection and we cannot recommend it enough.

We spent one of the loveliest long family week-end (almost a week in fact) at Wheeldon Trees Cottages.The cottages are very modern and fully equipped, but the setting is what makes it really amazing.We couldn't have found a better base to explore the Peak District region!Thank you Hazel for the warm reception!

We have just returned from staying at Wheeldon Tree Cottages, we had the most amazing week. We stayed in the priestley cottage with our 2 year old son and it was absolutely perfect. We were very grateful for how accommodating they were with children! We had a bedrail, highchair, toddler bed and stair gates in our cottage which was so handy. My little boy loved the little park, seeing the cows/sheep each morning and playing with all the toys from the long room. They really have thought of everything, we loved the honesty shop too such a lovely touch! Our accommodation really was stunning and had everything we needed very clean, well equipped and beautifully decorated! We couldn't fault it at all, the location and views were incredible. Thank you, We cannot wait to return again in the future.

I had an incredible stay at this charming cottage in a serene and peaceful part of the country. The quiet atmosphere and beautiful surroundings, complete with cows and sheep, made it a perfect getaway. The availability of electric bikes added convenience for exploring nearby attractions. Steve was exceptionally helpful with his suggestions and advice. The honesty shop stocked with various foods and snacks was a delightful touch. Overall, this place is nothing short of amazing - a quiet, peaceful, and breathtaking escape that I’ll always remember.

We had a wonderful stay at Wheeldon Trees Cottages. The place was delightful although Ollerenshawe Cottage is really very small! It was fine for the two of us once we'd stowed all our luggage on top of the wardrobe. The facilities on site were amazing - my favourite thing being the EV charging point. Wonderful - especially when in semi-wilderness! It seems harsh to knock a whole star off just for one little disappointment but I can't do a fraction of a star - or I would. And the little disappointment was that when I mentioned that a tea strainer would be a useful addition to the kitchen (not everyone uses tea bags) Steve said he'd go and see if he could find one. Maybe he forgot but we never saw the tea strainer. As I say, not a huge matter and when weighed against all that was good, very trivial. I would recommend Wheeldon Trees to anyone wanting to visit this beautiful part of England.
