Washbrook Meadows Retreat

It was the first time I'd participated in a pilgrimage and came away calm and collected after a lovely walk around Allesley. To be in the moment watching the skylarks and pondlife my worries melted away. The coffee & cakes on our return was a bonus!

I spent a lovely calm afternoon at Washbrook Meadows Retreat today. Sitting under the trees watching the Sherbourne stream was so serene. The tea & homemade cake at halftime was wonderful too. Paul & Pam are lovely hosts.

I spent a lovely morning with Pam and Paul and three other ‘pilgrims’ at Washbrook Meadows on their Introduction to Pilgrimage. We spent a couple of hours enjoying a gentle reflective walk with occasional pauses where Paul invited us to set a personal intention for our own mini pilgrimage and engage in simple practices which helped to us to be more present to our environment, fellow travellers and our world. I’d recommend this to anyone who would like to set aside a few hours from the busyness of life - suitable for those of any faith or none. And the coffee and cakes at the end rounded the time off beautifully!
