Wild Ireland
Well worth the 5 hour drive from the Sunny South East to visit Wild Ireland. Having watched the documentary, my daughter and I were determined to visit and we weren't disappointed. Arrived early and spent the entire day there. We listened to very informative talks about 4 of the species, and had a nice lunch in the cafe. Met Killian at the end of our visit and he kindly took the time to chat about the long eared owls with us. Thoroughly recommend a visit, take your time going around, it's well worth it. Now, if it was only a little closer to home...

We had an incredible time at Wild Ireland when we visited at the end of August. We last visited 3 years ago. It is an amazing place. It is so well run and laid out. The staff were extremely helpful. We absolutely loved seeing the vast array of wildlife there. We enjoyed a lovely snack at the café and treated ourselves to some lovely souvenirs and Wild Ireland hats in the gift shop. We will most definitely return next year and look forward to seeing any new additions to the park.

First time to visit and it didn't disappoint. It's a credit to the management and staff very well run and the place looks good even on a dull November day l. Good information on the animals they have from the guide at the talks.Really enjoyed it and will definitely be back in summer 24.

We had an amazing visit to Wild Ireland. Such a wonderful sanctuary. Animals are so well cared for. Such a wide variety of animals. Beautiful setting. Well maintained. Wheelchair friendly. Super interesting talks at 11am and 2pm daily. Mostly rescued animals that now have an amazing life. Bears, wolves, raccoons and a lynx are just some of the animals. Very good quality food with vegetarian options. They should charge more in. Fantastic value. Spent 4 hours totally engrossed.

This was a great place to visit. To see some of these animals up close and living in a better setting that they would be in a zoo. Hearing some of their rescue /rehoming stories is heartbreaking then seeing how well they are doing now just shows the work put in bt all there . Could spend hours here. On site food is great, especially when we were there as its sheltered and it poured down for a while so we took a lunch break. Amenities were spotlessly clean. Children all had their favourite animals. Will definitely return, it was worth the drive.

Travelled from Belfast to go here and thought it was amazing and well worth the trip. I loved the layout, very well thought out and streamlined. A well paced experience which encourages more time to learn and spot the animals as the enclosures are more diverse than the average zoo (obviously as this is not a zoo). I only managed to witness one keeper talk but it was so informative and the speaker had so much charisma and passion for the animals. When walking around we passed the founder who I assume was showing the sanctuary to another person in his field of work but how he spoke to and interacted the public approaching him and his staff showed the care put into this amazing place. Really high quality merchandise as well which was unfortunate for me as I couldn’t help but pick up anything and everything to take home, I even left and went back for the guide book.

We went on a cold wet December afternoon and saw Santa too. Had a great time. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Amazing to get so close to Animals that used to be native to the island of Ireland.

Really enjoyed my visit here with the family. A wide selection of native and non native animals in a compact and easy to navigate site.My one issue is with the size of the enclosures for some of the animals which I believe could be bigger but they are definitely safer and better treated here than many of their previous homes. It's not cheap either with a family ticket coming in around £60 (€68).

Despite the rain, we had a great time. The tour with the caretaker was very insightful. We were not able to see all animals, but that is just an indication that they are able to retreat to their save space.Pricing for food and drinks was very reasonable.Entry price was perhaps a bit high, but they don't receive any government aid, so all costs need to be covered by the guests.

I had an incredible experience at Wild Ireland! The conservation efforts here have successfully reintroduced extinct animals to Ireland, including the brown bear, wolf, wild boar, and lynx. The spacious enclosures ensure these animals can roam freely, and they seem to be well-cared for. It's a peaceful and relaxing place for a leisurely walk, and the variety of animals makes it a truly special destination.
