Highly irresponsible, incompetent and expensive firm. Came to fix a pump that wasn't working, diagnosed incorrectly and replaced pump (my electrician found it was simply a wiring connector going to house that was a 20-min fix), they then tried to remove new pump 'agriculturally' and ended up breaking the borehole lining and pump is now stuck there. They then tried to charge for new pump and a day and half's work. Perhaps worst of all I found them dishonest and they took no responsibility. Just don't have a problem with them otherwise it is suddenly all your fault, never theirs. Good luck!

Terrible experience,and I never got as far as having them out to look at the problem. Technician told me my borehole was in the wrong place,needed to be closer to the house,told him it had been there for well over 30 years and we had no problems..He went in-depth and against everything I tried to say,and ended up telling me I needed a brain,I was brain dead .When I asked to speak to his boss I was told ,no,I asked again to be told he was on holiday..I phoned All-star Pumps at St- Clears,and got all the help I needed..

My borehole was overflowing due to an issue with the float gauge and Penstar sent an engineer out within 36 hours. Barry did a great job of diagnosing and fixing the problem, and went about and beyond by cleaning around the borehole to minimize external contamination. Highly recommended!

Earlier this week I went to Penstar with my old water pump, fully expecting that a new replacement would be required. The service and help I received from Josh and the rest of the team was absolutely fantastic. They were able to bench test my pump and replace the pressure switch. The team could not have been more friendly and helpful. It would have been so easy for them to charge me more and sell me a new pump. A big thank you to the team, the service and support I received was 1st class. The pump has been refitted and is working perfectly.

Hi,I am about to sell a property in which Penstar installed a bore hole system way back in September 2000. As I needed to sort out the paperwork for the buyer, it occurred to me that I have done absolutely NOTHING to their system (pump, pressuriser, pipework, etc) and it has worked perfectly all this time. As today's technology rarely has such a reliable record, I felt it would be helpful to give this company the credit it clearly deserves. In case you were thinking , I have absolutely no connection with the company, personal or professional !
