We had a nice evening not too busy, just had a drink. It was great to see ot open again. It was nicely decorated and felt cosy.

I think we hit upon a very busy afternoon and perhaps some staff shortages, we were kept waiting for our food for an unacceptable amount of time… possibly in excess of 1.5 hours. One us didn’t receive their yorkie until after they’d finished their meal. Parsnips were undercooked and we’re hard to eat. A 10month old was ordered a Yorkshire pudding £2 if bought as an extra) and portion of peas all served in a ramekin dish, this was charged at £6.95, which I considered a diabolical amount.Staff were all pleasant and industrious. Atmosphere warm and welcoming. Bottle of Sauvignon to be recommended

Moved recently to Daventry area and decided to give the Arnold Arms a try for early evening meal. The welcome was warm and friendly. There was a good choice of food and drinks. We were served by George who was very friendly and told us all about the pub we also spoke with Inga the manager who spent some time talking about all of the flavoured gins that the pub has on offer.Altogether a good experience which we look to repeat with our family in the next few weeks.

I can't recommend this pub as a place to eat. It was 2pm when we ordered the food. It eventually came after almost an hour. I had asked the man behind the bar after 40mins, where the food was? He said it would be right out. 20 mins later it arrived. It wasn't worth waiting for. My ham, Eggs, chips, and salad, consisted of two slices of ham from a supermarket packet of thinly sliced circular ham; two eggs with solid yolks, soggy lettuce, and chips that had been reheated so often they were like balsa wood. The lady who served the food was very nice.Al in all, I didn't realise that there were still pubs as bad as this. Shocking!

Stayed with our friends who have lived in the village for 17 years, but this is the first time they have been confident enough to show off their local to us as their guests. I was very excited given my surname matches the pub!!This pub has had a huge make over since we last drove past. A lot of thought has clearly gone in to it's lay out and caters for all needs.A warm welcome by the staff, The Arnold Arms has cosy spaces, open fires, family dining area, pool table, isvery dog friendly and boasts a good selection of beers, wines and spirits. The 4 of us had a Sunday roast which was generous portions, very tasty and hot. Lovely choice of deserts as well.Keep up the good work and we'll visit again

We have had an awful lunch today here! We ordered a sharing ploughman’s lunch and a bowl of chips. Well I’ve had plenty of ploughman’s meals in my time but this one was laughable. Two slices of ham, one pickled onion cut into four, one tiny slice of bread cut into four quarters(should have been crusty bread). Four tiny quarters of cheese and a tiny pot of pickle and some very thinly sliced apple. No pork pie or butter to go on the dry bread. They had forgotten the chips but when they did come we’re not cooked …… all for £15.95!! We were starving when we came out. They did knock the price of our meal off our bill but that really is not the point.Put your coat on too as it was freezing in the restaurant!

After seeing 4.75 star's we thought we would give it a go!Food was slow to appear, because another table of 6 had ordered at the same time. When the food did come it was very ordinary at best, no Bechamel sauce on the lasagne. Sea bass with warm vegetables and salad!!!On the hole very ordinary at best, never 4.75 star's!!!Wouldn't be recommending it.

Travelled 50+ miles to complete some family arrangements and visited after some recommendations. Chose a steak salad for one of us and a ploughman's lunch to share between the other pair of us of us. The huge ploughman's came beautifully presented on a wooden platter and was excellent. The steak salad was equally as good.Great value and will definitely return when in the area.
