My husband and I (both octogenarians) joined 9 beginners classes this summer. Neither of us had ever played the steel pans before but had enjoyed listening to the music on holidays in the Caribbean. Mary and Paul always made us feel welcome and were very patient in their teaching. The hour passed very quickly and was great fun, even if occasionally frustrating because we were rather slow, but we always left feeling better than when we arrived. There was a great sense of achievement and pleasure when we succeeded!

I went to quite a few reggae gigs at CultureMix and they are some of the best I have seen by far. As a matter of fact I make the journey from East London to be there. World class reggae, friendly and interesting people and some good Vibe! I highly recommend it!

So much fun! I look forward to evenings here learning music on steel drums. The team are so supportive and Mary's off the cuff one liners make it lighthearted and fun as well as productive and musical. Loved every workshop so far!

The beginner steel pan workshops are such great fun. I have no musical experience but was able to get playing straight away. The hour session flies by and I can't wait to come back for the next session!
