The windows were generally good quality, and we would have been extremely satisfied but then the mechanisms started failing to close after about 5 years. When we tried the warranty, (advertised as 10 years when we bought), it appears that we should have requested further details of the warranty before purchase that weren’t provided with the quote: The warranty covers repair but we have to pay for the work to repair. So not the first class service we though would go with the price. And general advertising impression. The windows are now not soundproof or fraught proof because of the mechanism fault, and the skimping on warranty service has left a bad impression of windows that we wound otherwise be really impressed with.

Very impressed with Elwyns. We had Elwyns replace all the windows at the front of our house with white evolution flush windows (including two bay windows) just before Christmas. High quality of work, neat and tidy and great customer service. Would recommend.

We have used Elwyns Windows Ltd (Carshalton) on a number of occasions over the years and every time they have proved to be the perfect choice.Friendly, helpful service and a pride in their work runs constantly throughout their entire workforce which allowed us to make an unhurried and well-informed selection and be comfortable throughout.Their design consultant ensured that our choice properly considered aesthetics, safety and security, the subsequent visit from their surveyor made very clear the extent of the works being undertaken and allowed us to refine the detail of our requirements. The office staff kept us well informed as to the date, time and names of the installation team we could expect.The installers did indeed arrive exactly as scheduled and proved to be the most polite, friendly, diligent and accommodating team we could have wished for. Indeed, upon their departure our home was left clean and tidy and (other than having a new quality window in place) there was no trace of their visit.On payment of the balance of our account, again, their accounts lady also wished to confirm that we were completely satisfied. Indeed, having raised a minor concern (regarding colour match of the new stained glass with an existing door) this was addressed by their after sales team and was quickly resolved (although we were prepared to accept this minor disparity ourselves). Clearly, pride in their service is something taken very seriously by all.The foregoing must not be allowed to overshadow the quality of the installed window itself. We have, in previous times, purchased quality windows from other market leaders. The high quality and service we have received from on both this and previous occasions has been above and beyond all others and we will continue to recommend Elwyns Windows to friends and neighbours fortunate enough to live in their work area.

Old landing windows replaced with replica stained glass windows to original 1930s design.Excellent and professional service from start to finish. Competitive quote. Responded to all queries effectively and efficiently. Liaised directly with stained glass makers, to ensure co-ordination of work. The windows were installed as arranged.I would definitely recommend this company.

Last year I had the back door of my garage replaced and was very happy with the outcome so had no hesitation in going back to them this year when my old wooden front door showed signs of wear and tear during the winter. Extremely pleased with the result and they are a local firm which is becoming more important nowadays with the rise in online trading and consequent uncertain outcomes.
