Great time at my dogs first fun agility class. Very relaxed and great trainers. Looking forward to next week!

I went to a beach barbecue yesterday, the first that Harry my Dachsund and I have attended together. This sounds like quite a normal thing to do and in fact lots of people at the barbecue commented on what a normal dog Harry is, if I rewind the clock to the first time Harry and I went to a puppy training class, I was the owner who wanted the floor to open up and swallow me and Harry, he was a screaming, overwhelmed dog who wasn’t coping with the situation he found himself in and neither was I. Martin Pashley was amazing, he probably went home hoarse that night, talking over Harry’s hysterical screams, to the other puppy owners who probably wished we would leave and not come back, but in the intervening period he has helped me and Harry to become a calm and confident team who can now do many things that most other dog owners and their dogs do, for which I cannot thank him enough. We blend in rather than stand out, join in rather than avoid. Harry and I are very happy about this, so Happy Dogs do do exactly what their name says, thank you so much.

Tilly, our red fox Labrador enjoyed Martin’s puppy classes and improvement classes as a puppy. However after Tilly’s first season she has become reactive indoors to the door bell, the post man and delivery people. Martin has helped my wife and I understand the need to give Tilly her own safe place in the house and control her reactivity. He has introduced training to desensitise her to the door bell, the use of one word and treats to bring focus away from the front door and to bring the attention away from the front door area itself.Tilly is still reactive but the improvement in control has been significant. Wary visitors have visited since and been astounded at the difference.Work still to do but a big thank you Martin.

Collection of our order went well

Martin is very knowledgeable and experienced. Working on recall is hard work but feel that Happy Dogs can help us reach our goal. One to one sessions are excellent.

I cannot rate Happy Dogs highly enough, 5 stars just doesn't do them justice! I have a very nervous and reactive lurcher who has had multiple sessions with other dog trainers and not shown any improvement. Within 10 minutes of our first 1-2-1 session Martin was able to walk my dog on the lead. I could have cried witnessing this. They truly are dog whispers! Martin and Suzanne go out of their way to create a comfortable and friendly environment. Both Scruffy and I have learnt a lot. We hope to progress to the groups sessions in time. Thanks to Martin and Suzanne we have a positive path forwards for Scruffy :-)
