All Saints Church
All Saints church is located at the dead end of a long lane that doesn't actually lead anywhere. It was the former parish church for Tolleshunt Knights village, but is now in the custody of the Greek Orthodox Monastery, nearby. The church building is obviously very old & has been subject to several architectural alterations over the decades. All Saints' churchyard has some notably old trees, as well as gravestones & tombs. One mature Oak beside the porch bears a striking example of simulacra; a remarkably proportioned human face in the bark! It's an isolated place, also subject to some intriguing local legends & folklore that are well worth investigating further...
