We love Yorkshire Wine School!!. Laura and Richard are incredibly knowledgeable and make any wine tasting fun and really informative. Would recommend for anyone who is interested in wine - however much or little experience you have already.

Absolutely fantastic! I did the world of wine course which is 8 sessions, once a week on a Thursday evening over November and December 2023. I went on my own, but that was fine as I met many other people attending on their own and everyone become friends very quickly. It is a great atmosphere and a lovely way to spend a Thursday evening with like minded people. Laura, Rich and Richard (the tutors) are all fantastic, extremely knowledgable, passionate and friendly. I could not recommend it more and will certainly be coming back to more tastings, courses and events in 2024!

I recently completed a WSET level 2 with Yorkshire Wine School as it was a fantastic experience! Our class tutor was really engaging and the whole team are incredibly helpful and welcoming. The selection of wines was broad and utilised small, local businesses - great to see investment in the Yorkshire economy. If you’re thinking of doing a professional course or just booking a tasting for fun, you won’t regret it!

The course tutor, Rich, set the perfect atmosphere and environment for learning lots and having great fun.But the big takeaway for both of us was that we are now super-confident about how we might choose wine with different meals, for special occasions and how to properly open a bottle of bubbly (spoiler alert: you twist the bottle at a 45⁰ angle while keeping your thumb firmly on the cradle and the cork!!)It was a beautiful journey through all the wine regions of France (the history and topographical influences are really fascinating!!), Italy, Australia, New Zealand, California, Chile and South Africa, which some pit stops in Hungary & Germany.We LOVED it

Another wine tasting experience comes to and end with the last week of the four week, Iberian Adventures with Laura in charge of the tasting as usual. An excellent and somewhat interesting range of wines over the four weeks, made all the better with the background and tasting explanations, along with the company each week, some regulars and some serious wine scholars. I can't recommend Yorkshire Wine School, Laura and her team highly enough.

Interesting evening at the Ultimate Wine and Cheese evening held at The Showroom, Sheffield. The wines were varied and matched really well with the cheeses, which were all delicious. Learnt a lot about different wines and the way in which they change depending on the locale. Definitely recommend.

Great place to learn all about wine. Its a fascinating journey to learn from the moment a vine is planted, to the weather impact, how it's made to how it ends up in my glass! The team at YWS are brilliant at taking you on the journey of some great learning whilst tasting some amazing wine and keeping it fun too! Laura sure knows what she's doing!

Had a fantastic day at the Wine Tasting in York. 6 whites & 6 red with lunch. Richard was extremely informative and very happy to answer any queries & questions. Would definately recommend for any wine lovers, from beginners to those in the know

Absolutely loved the cheese and wine pairing held by Laura, such a professional and knows how to have fun! The selection of cheeses were amazing, and paired up magnificently with the wine. Thank you Laura, we can't wait for our next one - maybe the red wine one next time!

I received an introduction to wine tasting as a birthday present. Rich our host was great and extremely knowledgeable about wines from all over the world. We were with 10 others we hadnt met and we all had a great night. Six great wines very different paired with some different cheese as well. We will be going back, thanks for a great night.
