I’ve been using Grooms since I moved to Cardiff in 2020 and highly recommend them. I’ve previously never enjoyed getting my hair cut but now I look forward to it. Excellent service, always a warm welcome and they’re a real laugh too.

I've been going here for years now. The staff are so friendly, the owner too is a lovely guy who'll remember you and have a chat. The prices have been creeping up the past year but that's in line with everywhere else to be fair! It's still cheap and a great cut. Can't fault it.

Been coming here for years and wouldn't go anywhere else. Lovely friendly staff.The prices are no more than other places. In fact, I always give a tip of £5 as well.I disagree with Ian Collingwood's review, what I could understand of it, as his grammar and spelling is dreadful.Instead of slagging of a local business, go back to school and then try cutting your own hair.

I have been taking my sons (7 and 3 years.old) to have their hair cut here for a while and the staff are fantastic. The blonde haired lady has the patience of a Saint! She is.able to cut my very uncooperative, wriggly 3 year olds hair and actually make it look good. Highly recommend and wouldn't take my sons anywhere else. Thank you Grooms!

I love getting my hair cut here. Everyone is really friendly, but every haircut I've had here has been top class. Must be one of the best barbers in Cardiff. I would defently recommend

I've been taking my son to Grooms Barbers for nearly a decade, it's a bit out of our way, we have several barbers closer to us, but the staff at Grooms are always very friendly, they are very experienced and they listen to their clients, my son won't go anywhere else, at Grooms is the only place he can get his haircut exactly as he wants it, which for a 15 year old is very important.

I had such an excellent experience and will definitely be coming back here for every hair cut I have in the future, absolutely welcoming and kind to me and my friend. We were offered a drink with the hair cut which is very rare to see and made a huge difference to the whole experience altogether! I will definitely be back here again as the service was next to none, Eric and the team were so helpful in making sure I had a good experience as well. As for the actual hair cut, it was a professional and prestige trim with some excellent attention to detail and the Barber made sure to ask a lot of questions along the way to see make sure that I was happy with the cut I was getting and that it was going exactly how I wanted it. I am so glad I found this shop as I can finally feel confident that I am going for a haircut and getting a consistent service with great prices. I will never go to a different barber now that I have found a place which gives me a great hair cut, a great experience and a great welcoming smile with every cut! To be offered drinks while getting my hair cut is something I didn’t expect but was received very well and completed the experience for me altogether. The best barbershop in Cardiff.

Situated in small block of shops half way up Colchester Avenue. I usually go on a Saturday morning when there are 4 hairdressers on, meaning I very rarely have to wait. All are friendly and I've never had a bad haircut in the 10+ years I've been going here.

I used to get my hair cut at grooms, prices went up, was not able to afford it, it's a nice place, friendly ladies, I was rude the last time I was there, so would like to apologise for my mannor, I was out of order, I have no excuse. I was under alot of stress at the time.

Refused to acknowledge that I was there, pulling several customers up before me, even though I had been waiting the longest. After almost an hour, I tried to ask the barber a question and was promptly shut down despite never saying a word. After asking my question, I left and have never gone back.I live nearby and this place would have been perfect for my partner and I to attend, but after the disgusting service we refuse to enter the premises.
