Moi's SUP School

BSUPA Level 1 Course completed on Saturday 14th Oct 2023.Really nice venue/setup, great intro/briefing, and very supportive coaching on the water.First time on a river with a paddle board and struggled a bit with the current (and my own technique) but very encouraging coaching and guidance made for a great experience.No falls into the water which was a big surprise - expected to wobble when going from standing to kneeling but it all went so much better than expected.Looking forward to more adventures on the water with my improved skills and knowledge.

I've paddled four times with Moi this year and have loved every session. The key for me is the very supportive and relaxed environment that Moi provides which means I now feel comfortable and at ease on the board. Looking forward to many more paddles Moi! Thanks so much.

Don't hesitate to book a lesson with Moi - she's lovely and a fantastic teacher who had me standing up from the first lesson! UPDATE: More than a year on and I continue to have fantastic paddling experiences with Moi; moonlight paddles, canal and river adventures, charity fancy dress excursions, sea/coastal lessons and pool clinics during the winter months (perfect for practicing self rescue techniques). And so much more on offer that I've yet to try, including SUP yoga and Planet Patrol clean ups to name a few. You'll not find a better instructor or one offering more variety in the whole of Oxfordshire!ORIGINAL REVIEW: I had a wonderful taster session with Moi in June. She's a brilliant instructor and complete professional. I wasn't completely new to paddleboarding having done the BSUPA Ready to Ride course, but I was shocked at how many new techniques and tips & tricks I learned in just an hour. Moi explains things so well, makes everything super easy and is really encouraging. She's also just a lovely, genuine person; she made me feel very welcome and instantly put me at ease. Since the taster session I've been on a river cruise and a moonlight paddle with Moi, which was just incredible, and I'm very much looking forward to future 'experiences' too like the paddle, pub and pizza evening. In fact I'm booked in for this week's 'ladies night' and I've very much looking forward to it. Thanks so much Moi, you're awesome!

You're guaranteed a friendly, professional, safe, and most importantly fun experience whenever you book with Moi. I'm more of a casual paddle boarder, have gotten my BSUPA Ready to Ride cert last year, but using it mostly so I can join my wife on her river (and occasionally sea!) excursions; we've had some really wonderful adventures, and seen some incredible natural environments - not least when we go on one of Moi's organised adventures (including a trip down to Sandbanks for some coastal paddling!).It really is a great sport, where you'll see the world from a different angle, even right on your doorstep. And with Moi's school, you're guaranteed to be learning and enjoying it with a great leader, and a friendly bunch of people.

I was gifted a 1:1 SUP lesson with Moi for my 60th birthday, something I really wanted to do but way, way out of my comfort zone. I'm so glad my friends discovered Moi because she was the perfect person to introduce me to this activity. Her patient, kind, reassuring manner coupled with her knowledgeable instruction turned it into an amazing experience during which I achieved far more than I expected to. I can't recommend Moi's SUP School highly enough and if like me you're tempted to give it a go then Moi's SUP School is the place to go :-)
