Got a short notice appointment due to working in redcar.fantastic service,very polite staff and lady who did my full eye test explained things others before hadn't bothered to.all in all excellent experience.

Really good service from a local, independent group.Very knowledgeable optometrist both professionally (she detected the subtleties in my prescription that some miss) and personally (in between we were talking about Space-X launches and optometry courses and the University of Manchester campus).Shop was clean, modern and everything one would expect. No 'push' to buy any new anything.[update: though I did go back last month and buy a new pair of glasses with an adjustment to my prescription that makes them more comfortable for computer screen work]

Lovely, helpful opticians who gave me five emergency" contact lenses when I ran out recently (for free!). I usually have eye and contact tests at SpecSavers in Redcar and am registered with them
