Finally made it down to Stroud during our extended UK holiday and booked in for the morning session. What an amazing experience. Neil and the team were so welcoming and everything was really hands on. Had a blast playing my old favourites and enjoyed some new experiences on computers I didn’t know existed. If you are in to 80s / 90s computer nostalgia this is the place for you. Highly recommended.

Awesome experience, this is easily the best collection of computers and consoles I've ever seen and played. The owner is very approachable and happy to answer questions and help with setting up the games. This is a real museum that showcases the evolution of gaming.

TL:DR - It's fantastic!!!Took my two daughters (6 and 12) last Saturday for our first ever visit! Unbelievable. What the team has built there is absolutely fantastic. The welcome you receive on arrival right from being met at the door and then the welcome chat from Neil is just spot on. The fact that it is such a hands on experience is also brilliant. Both my daughters were playing with Sonic pinball, 3D viewfinder games and even a BigTrack driving about the place. There are plenty on team members on hand to help and answer any questions, and all just as enthusiastic as you would expect from such a clearly personal project that has been built with a lot of thought and care.As for the computers and consoles, well that just blows your mind how many are there for you to play on as much as you like. Change the games, ask for any you can't see, they will always do their best to accommodate. The retro gaming shop is also a mega blast from the past for those of us of a certain age! There's way too much for a single visit and that doesn't even include the Arcade downstairs which we did in the afternoon and was equally mind blowing and run with the same level of enthusiasm and care.I will definitely be going back again!

A fantastic place to visit for anyone with even a passing interest in vintage/retro computing. The museum hosts a plethora of old 8- and 16-bit systems, as well as some old PCs for playing old games on such as Carmageddon and Rise of The Triad. The arcade on the ground floor is also a must see, with some truly legendary cabinets in there such as Outrun, Track & Field, and Operation Wolf.Staff are super friendly and helpful, and all very knowledgeable about their subject matter. Parking is free, which is always a bonus.Overall, a great visit and I can't wait to go again.

After spotting on You Tube we visited The Cave and it was a fantastic afternoon. Easy to find, with plenty of parking the setting is great whatever the weather. The Cave has a good balance of retro exhibitions along with working computers and games consoles, so whatever you remember being into during the 80s or 90s you'll find the perfect setup to try out. The forthcoming Arcade looks amazing and we will be returning to visit that, ready to give Out Run a test drive once more!Keep up the excellent work The Cave!

Astonishing place, this is very much a hands on museum. They have home computers, consoles from the very first, up to the ps2, electronic toys from the 80s, and 90s, computer, and video game magazines, a recreated computer game shop, portable consoles, a couple arcade machines, and more. If you grew up in the era of commodore, sinclair, amstrad, BBC micro, atari, amiga computers, or have discovered an interest in this, then this will appeal to you. On top of this they have a superb collection of japanese computers, and consoles from the famicom, megadrive, pc engine, x68000, Sega pc, yes this is an actual thing, to the PlayStation 2. They have rare dev kits, lots of boxed games, rare accessories, etc. The toy section really brought back memories of my childhood, the astro galaxy, tomytronic 3d, pacman clone, etc.. These were all playable, I haven't played these since my childhood. I advise you buy advance tickets, you can also book for the retro arcade and save 10% on a combined ticket. Seriously, if you like retro games, then you have to visit this place, I discovered items I've only read about, and also lots I knew nothing about. I have to commend the people running this place for keeping all those machines in working order, and allowing visitors to play it all in one location. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic morning. Can't wait to go back with more members of my family. The knowledge of those involved was amazing and they are so helpful. There were so many things to look at and play with that 3 hrs is not nearly enough time to enjoy the experience and going back is a must. Great place to bond with my teenager about the games and machines of my youth and play things I only dreamed of playing at the time. I can't recommend this place enough.

I traveled all the way from Sweden and had great expectations to visit the cave, and the reality was even better!Even if in my case that included getting sick from all the old CRTs and Gameboy screens, but it was still worth it :)Neil and the others introduced us to the cave and the feeling was really like being at a friend's house playing videogames as childs. The playable section is amazing and the rest of the exhibition (rare computers and consoles on display, toys, boxes, magazines) adds up to a full nostalgia experience that will blow away everyone who has even a tiny interest in retrogaming.Plus, the surrounding countryside with the river and the mills is beautiful, too, and you can visit the Arcade Archive in the afternoon of the same day.Well worth the 2-3 hours trip if you are in London!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting RMC, and I have to say, it was an absolute blast! This venue is a paradise for anyone who is a fan of retro video games. From the moment I stepped in, I was hit with a wave of nostalgia that took me back to my childhood. The atmosphere at RMC is so friendly and relaxed, which really adds to the overall experience. The staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful, and they go out of their way to make sure that everyone is having a good time. One of the best things about RMC is that there is just so much to see. The collection of retro video games on display is truly impressive, and it's clear that a lot of care and attention has gone into curating this collection. I found myself spending hours just wandering around and admiring all of the different consoles and games.Overall, I would highly recommend RMC to anyone who loves retro video games. The venue is so much fun, and the atmosphere is incredibly positive and friendly. If you're looking for a place to relive your childhood memories, or just to experience something new and exciting, then RMC is definitely worth a visit!
