Surprise Encounter
Peter has an uncanny ability to find the best boardgame for ANYONE. Even with people that don't particularly like boardgames Peter is able to figure out just the right thing that will make them interested and keep them engaged. He's very attentive and caring and manages to create a safe and comfortable environment for anyone. I would highly recommend stopping by Surprise Encounter if you are interested in tabletop games.

Peter is a highly skilled and experienced GM and it shows! He is able to keep everyone engaged even when it's not your turn, with mixed experience groups and mixed aged ones, too. Also I really think there is no board game he can't teach you how to play! Will visit again for sure.

Great place. I have wanted to learn how to play DnD for a while now. Surprise Encounter has turned out to be the perfect place to get involved without having to know how to play or having to put together your own party just to get started. We have been doing a campaign for a while now and Peter does a really good job as a DM and introducing the DnD world. Also if DnD is not for you, there are lots of other games both standard boardgames as well as other RPGs.

Fantastic place run by a great friendly guy, huge variety of games and systems available to play for a low cost and a really friendly customer base whether you're in a group of your own or coming solo, a fantastic place to learn with introductory and mentored sessions.

Found this place in Fargo Village and it was great! There are loads of board games and the owner suggested one we might enjoy and guided us through the rules. Then he left us to play but helped us when we asked. We enjoyed the game - it was a good choice.Reasonably priced and very welcoming.Booked in for a Dungeons and Dragons starter session next month so bought some dice and can't wait to go back.

Honestly the nicest staff and super welcoming atmosphere! We tested out some games and even played one with some other customers and the owners! 10/10 would recommend ♥️

Surprise Encounter
I have been going to surprise encounters now for a few weeks. I have beenlearning all about DND and really enjoying playing. This week my team were not able to attend however I still went along and have a really good night playing a new board game. I would highly recommend. Fun for all people who enjoy playing board games DND and pre strategy games.
