I have no hesitation in recommending James and his team. They have just completed an internal renovation for me and it has been completed to the highest of standards. James visited me to view the job quickly after I contacted him. He supplied a realistic quote which was acceptable. His men turned up exactly on the agreed day and time and they took exactly the time quoted to complete the job. They cleaned up after themselves each night and at the end of the job did an extensive cleaning around the affected area. They were polite and friendly and kept me informed of all activities during the project.

James and his team did a very quick and efficient job when putting up a new fence for us and left the property very tidy afterwards, would highly recommend them

From first contact to completed work, James and his team impressed me. Communication with James was good, he visited the site quickly and got a quote to me within 24 hours! They arrived on time, did the work quietly and professionally to a high standard, and left the area tidy. The fencing is exactly what I wanted (no gravel board, just trellis to grow plants up) and looks great. They made a cracking little gate to go with it too. Absolutely no complaints and would hire them again in an instant :-)

They did a really good job of my patio, retaining wall and extension walls. They also repointed an old wall and did a small bit of rendering required. Would recommend them for any work needing done and will be using them again in the future.

A first class job. The design and installtion was carried out in a very short time, and the additional fossils in the slate have provided extra interest! We felt the cost was very reasonable in view of the work involved. Would recommend.

I cannot recommend J W building and Landscaping highly enough. James and his team did a fantastic job in transforming our rundown, leaky mid 18th century house into a home we now love coming home to.They carried out works such as removing two chimney stacks (which were letting water in), tanking the walls, replaced old stud walls with new and re plastered interior walls in six different rooms. Communication was fantastic with James. He kept me up to date with how the project was going and was very responsive when I had questions. James was the only builder who actually came out to quote for the work being done where others would just either want pictures of what needed to be done or just didn’t reply.We definitely will be calling J W Building and landscapes back for any future projects.

We are very happy with the chimney repointing, guttering and roof/parapet wall repairs at our home. James visited to quote promptly and replied to all my messages. This really helped as building work is always a bit stressful, but James was always available to explain what was happening every step of the way. Ollie and Matt were great - very focused and professional and even did a few extra bits without charging. I wouldn't hesitate asking JW Building & Landscaping to quote again for future projects.

If you are one of those many thousands of dissatisfied customers who are fed up with builders and other tradesmen who fail to respond to initial enquiries or just don’t appear when they say they will and barely communicate once you get past the initial hurdle of actually getting them to respond in the first instance, then look no further for excellent communications, timely project management and extremely high levels of workmanship than JW Building and Landscaping. James Wilmot and his team are outstanding in all areas. James’s communications are excellent. From initial contact to completion of the task he was punctual and responsive. Never once was I left waiting for a response to an email or voicemail and on every occasion James was pro-active in ensuring concerns were addressed in a timely fashion. His team, Olly and Matt, who did most of the work on my particular project, were very professional and exhibited a very high level of skill in all areas required of the project. They took care to match brickwork and cement in as closely to existing brickwork as possible and ensured the project was completed to a very high standard. They even did a few extra little bits and pieces outside the quote without hesitation. I cannot recommend JW Building and Landscaping highly enough and will certainly be using them for future projects when the need arises. James and his guys were awesome doing our loft conversion. Start to finish James was diligent and helpful. We were kept informed, consulted on decisions, and they did their best to solve even vague requests in a great way.Thoroughly recommend them. Planning to use them again for a small extension in the future.

The team have done a fab job so far on a current project (2023) and a high end finish, solid job on the last site (2021/2022) This is a company we have used before and will continue to use. They are reliable, friendly and accommodating. They tidy up after themselves and leave everything as it should be where necessary. Which is very much appreciated when living in a renovation project ! I can highly recommend.
