Women of Steel
Lovely piece of art commemorating the women who contributed so much during world wars 1 and 2 and, in one of the most idyllic places you can find in the centre of Sheffield, away from busier areas like Fargate and The Moor.Positioned just outside Sheffield City Hall and not far away from Barker's Pool which, will become even more quiet as John Lewis will not be reopening post lockdown.

Unveiled in June 2016, this iconic bronze sculpture by Martin Jennings commorates the effort and dedication of the women in Sheffield who worked in the steel industry during World War I and World War II.The sculpture has won several awards, and the additional money raised for the work was used to create medals for the real women of steel and their relatives.
