Ruby is such a fantastic choir master. She brings so much joy to our weekly choir sessions and is always so positive, motivating, enthusiastic and does the best she can to make sure we all enjoy ourselves! She is of course an amazing singer herself and her arrangements and harmonies sound incredible and I’ve gained so much confidence in myself since I’ve joined her choir. Thank you Ruby - would recommend her to everyone!!

I was looking for a singing teacher for YEARS who was local, affordable, and was able to explain the more technical side of singing (registers, placement, etc), and Ruby is just that person! She is full of energy, encouragement, and ideas for improving, but is also very focused and knows when to be serious. I have had 12 lessons so far, and already I feel a big improvement, which I was unable to achieve for years. Ruby also takes the time to write a long report of your progress at the end of every block of lessons. She also runs an adult and a junior choir, and puts on concerts for her students to perform if they want. I think she's managed to do a great job of forming a community for her students in a short space of time.

Lessons with Ruby are helpful, informative and most of all fun! Ruby is very friendly and patient and explains difficult concepts and techniques in a way that makes them easy to learn. She gives constructive criticism whilst also boosting your confidence. Every lesson we do a variety of different vocal warm ups which she tailors to your vocal needs that week. She encourages you to push yourself and tackle new challenges. She is able to coach you to sing a variety of genres of music.

Absolutely LOVE Ruby and the singing class she offers! I loved meeting everyone and getting to sing some classics and some songs I’d never even heard of but sounded so beautiful when we sang them together! A great introduction to singing and the perfect way to spend your Wednesday evenings!!Can’t wait to get stuck in again soon x

I joined the suston adult choir towards the end of 2022 wanting a hobby and to do something for me. It was the best choice, I was welcomed by Ruby and all the other members of the choir with open arms. I so look forward to Thursday nights when we all get together to sing, natter and laugh, I find it so uplifting and such good fun.

I joined this choir last April 2022 has I love music and singing and I’ve never regretted it. My daughter started singing lessons with Ruby recently and the change in her confidence in such a short space of time is remarkable! Within her first lesson, Ruby transformed a shy, nervous 9 year old who could barely speak to her. She now sings to us and practices every day. I was looking for a group that I could join that would be good for my wellbeing after a stressful day at work. I love to sing, so I thought that I would give it a go. I am so glad I did! Ruby is so supportive and taught me so much about my own voice in a non pressured environment. We sing current and classic songs, I feel absolutely amazing after, it relieves all tension and stress, really lifts my mood and makes me feel great.

Joining the adult choir has been the best decision, despite joining on my own and without really knowing if I could even hold a tune I have had a wonderful time. Made friends and felt a sense of achievement every time I go. Ruby is fantastic at making things seem doable and pushing you to achieve without you even realising you are. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone.
