This is gem of shop for dog lovers. Beautifully packaged, natural dog treats with none of the nasties in the supermarket stocked brands. We go everytime we visit Rother Valley Country Park now. Well worth a visit with your dog!

We had an afternoon tea booked at Sherwood Forest, I’m sad to say the service was disappointing. When we arrived we were told there was a birthday party on so most the cafe was shut off for that. We were shown a table near the door but no where to tie our dog down and stop him escaping if any customers came in.The lady serving us made us feel welcomed and tried to accommodate us the best she could. She was very apologetic and offered to sit us where the birthday party was and asked if we would move once they arrived, not ideal but it meant he could roam freely once we blocked off the entrance with a coffee table sat on it’s side and a sign to stop him escaping through the door.I would highly recommend you provide a fixed and stable anchorage point to attach a dogs lead to, I’ve been to doggie cafes before that have this and it’s a lifesaver. Then we had the doggie afternoon tea, which was good, it was nicely set out on a board and my dog enjoyed his pup cup.Unfortunately the extra human afternoon tea we paid £20 for was very poor, made up of basic store bought cakes. (Flapjack squares, millionaires squares, small cupcakes and Mini loaf cakes) This is not an afternoon tea. I understand the description on the website states a sweet afternoon tea, but an afternoon tea does not solely consist of sweet treats, it is very sickly to have this many cakes for an afternoon tea. Other photos of the afternoon tea posted to social media contained savory offerings. The lady at the cafe did apologise and stated that she normally serves savory options including crisps and sausage roles etc. but due to the lack of communication, having not been made aware there was going to be an afternoon tea until the morning of the afternoon tea, she was unable to provide such savory options. The lack of communication made the afternoon tea feel poorly organised, having been an after thought. We approached the owner for a partial refund but she stated what we received was value for money, having included 2 hot drinks which apparently worth £7 each

Took Sid here for a doggy pizza and he was not disappointed! He thoroughly enjoyed it. The human pizzas were good too. Would highly recommend!

Always the happiest people to meet and greet your dogs as if they were celebrities.Love the gluten free range as both my dogs have sensitive tummies. And I must say for a human the produce smells amazing! Keep up the great work!

Lots of different baked treats for dogs. Some toys for sale as well. Place to sit and have a drink with your dog. Lovely staff.

Where to start? My friend had booked her dog a birthday party and the whole experience was just one huge disappointment for her. She was so gutted. If, like us, your dog is your child - and let’s face it, why else would you be booking a party for a dog? - then you would expect the person receiving your money to deliver for you. And that’s just not what happened in this case.Poor communication by staff and little to no preparation. Not even a phone number, just a nameless stranger on the other end of Facebook Messenger who may or may not respond.Booked a party at the Rother Valley venue and told that the pre-ordered cake would be ready. Everyone turned up and the cafe was in darkness with no staff to be seen, just a neighbouring business owner saying that the cafe owner sometimes turns up but rarely do they see them. No signs on the door and no phone number.Eventually the Facebook Messenger response comes and turns out the party is ready for us at Sherwood Pines (a 40 minute drive away). So we turned up late and there was a sign for the party but with the wrong dog’s name written on it. The “separate” and “private” area is just a rope across one half of the cafe/shop. Our dogs could easily get over or under it. Definitely not enough room for more than 2/3 dogs so it’s a good job people dropped out after finding out the party venue had changed. I was more anxious that my dog would escape and eat all of the dog food from the shop because it would have been my fault and I would have more than likely had to pay for anything eaten!! Or he could have just ran out the door because frankly a rope divider would not stop him.We were offered free coffee and cake for our troubles but this was included in the party fee anyway.Admittedly the people manning the cafe at Sherwood pines couldn’t do enough for us - they had nothing to do with the organising of parties and they were so apologetic when they found out what had happened. For such an expensive birthday cake it was so tiny - much smaller than the picture. And the whole thing went mouldy after a few days so the birthday pup didn’t get to eat any of it. No refund offered when my friend complained. It’s absolutely unacceptable and this would not stand if it was a children’s birthday party. Dogs don’t know any different but that’s not the point.I would definitely not be recommending anyone book a party here.

A wonderful place for dogs to indulge themselves wisely, unlike Trickie Woo! For the humans, delicious coffee and cake to set us up for a stroll around Sherwood Forest. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. A return trip is guaranteed!

Popped in to get an ice cream for our elderly spaniel. Ended up having a coffee and seat. Dog had an ice cream and sleep on the couch and we enjoyed a lovely coffee. Wonderful little place. When he wakes up, got some brownies to enjoy.
