MamaMei Chinese Restaurant
On arrival at this family run restaurant, I was warmly greeted by friendly faces, it was such a warm and homely atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious. The food is also very reasonably priced. They have a varied menu so you will definitely find something to your taste they also have yummy deserts and they will accommodate for your dietary requirements. I had a great time visiting and I will definitely be back to visit!

Fantastic food and menu! Between myself and my sister we tried a few dishes and dumplings and were all amazing. Still dreaming about the beef brisket with rice.So happy that this restaurant is literally 2 mins away from my house. Looking forward to visiting again very soon!

Absolutely lovely authentic Chinese restaurant in Holloway. The food was extremely delicious and high quality, as well as being reasonably priced. The serving staff were warm and friendly, and highly efficient. The menu has brilliant variety, and this is great but can be slightly daunting at first, so I recommend ordering something off of the recommendations board outside- I did this and got a delicious meal.The only reason I have given 4 stars for ambience was that the music there was quite loud and mildly unpleasant, however this May have just been because we were the only people dining there at the time. Otherwise, it was comfortable and clean.All in all, a great local Chinese restaurant that is perhaps slightly more authentic than usual. Very delicious and I recommend a visit.

Went to this restaurant on a very rainy day before their open time. The waitresses were kind enough to open the dining area earlier to let me and partner in to avoid getting damped. We ordered fried rice, dan dan noodles and mopo tofu. Dan dan noodles (as showed in the first pic) were very thick and flavourful. Would recommend to have with some tea. Mapo tofu was brilliant. Probably the best I ever had in London. I believe chefs here really know their stuffs. Will absolutely visit again for this mapo tofu(could not stop for any second to take a picture of this)

Nice neighbourhood restaurant with some good dishes, particularly the mapo tofu, braised pork, and cabbage with chilli. The dim sum were a little disappointing given the reviews below. I found the skins quite thick and the prawn filling seemed to consist of chopped rather than whole prawns. One of the xiao long bao was burst on arrival and the others weren't that soupy. The filling in the roasted bao was nice, but it was on the dry side - much more so than other similar bao I've had.The service was friendly in an understated sort of way. The restaurant was fairly quiet (over half empty) on a Sunday night and the room is pretty plain. Unfortunately the beers ordered weren't cold enough (not a big enough problem issue to send them back) - perhaps they hadn't been in the fridge for enough time.If I went back, I'd stick to the main courses and give the dim sum a miss.

Passed by this small cosy Chinese restaurant and ordered wonton noodle soup. Absolutely perfect on a cold windy day. I had the wonton with pork filling. It was delicious, the noodles were the authentic thin noodles we normally have with wonton.I was there at 2pm on a Sun so it was empty.I will go again and try something else.

Just had lunch and it was absolutely delicious. Authenticate Chinese flavours from the dishes we ordered.I will be back to try the dim sum, and other rice dishes next time.Update - just came for the dim sum, and yes it’s really good, felt a lot of it was hand made and really delicious.

Really glad to find this restaurant has opened up locally. Dishes are such a reasonable price that I plan to come here again and often. We had pork and prawn wonton noodle soup, beef brisket noodle soup and the Beijing pork dumplings. The beef brisket noodle soup was the standout dish…the meat was so tender and melt-in-your-mouth.Update:I’ve been coming here quite often and a favourite of mine is the twice-cooked pork with a bowl of white rice. Perfection!

Absolutely lovely. The most authentic dim sum I have had so far in the UK. The udon dish is just gorgeous. Service is friendly, attentive and extremely fast. The place is pleasant and quaint. Thank you for a hearty meal. I really enjoyed it.

Must go to with dim sum, bbq pork, buns, green veg dishes ... all my favourites including grass jelly! Highly recommend and just a stroll down the hill from Archway tube with lovely, friendly service. Going back there and they do takeaway. Great value for freshly made food.
