Super cafe with barista coffee downstairs and a cosy, atmospheric bookshop upstairs. Great books and a comfortable, child-friendly children's section. Fun gifts too!

Posted on behalf of my mum.She ordered 2 books this afternoon for her granddaughters, and found their site super easy to use. By this evening they were delivered, free of charge, to their door. Amazing.Great service from a lovely, local family run business.

Lovely independent book shop in a great location. We visited when Julia Donaldson was signing books in the shop. They had even arranged for the Gruffalo to be present. It was a great day and a fantastic shop with a brilliant range of books for all ages, very family friendly. Lots of free parking available close by too which was perfect! We hope to return soon for some more books.

I was shopping for my boyfriend’s birthday and I was really trying not to use Amazon even though they are hard to beat on pricing and delivery. I googled some local bookshops that offered an online service. Found this one. They had the books I wanted, at very competitive pricing and the postage was less than what it takes to send something Royal Mail as a small parcel. The parcel arrived quickly. Books in excellent condition. I would recommend. Try and support Scottish businesses

This wee gem in the heart of Broughty Ferry is a must visit - and as with most independent bookings stores something we must all help to keep thriving. A family-run affair and the service is certainly in keeping with that: friendly, knowledgeable of the literary world and keen to interact with customers. All genres coveted, especially a good local section. Children's books well covered also. The now customary website is functional and web-ordering is available. Highly recommended.

Such a lovely and personal shop. Due to Covid, we obviously couldn't have a party for my mum's 60th. So I organised a treasure trail and the bookhouse were one of a few local businesses that were happy to get involved. They let me put one of the clues in their window display, ordered in a book especially for me and were great with communication throughout. Thanks again! She had such so much fun!
