Had an amazing few hours on a one of Mark's handmade paddle boards today! Such a great day. Mark was really friendly and gave me a great introduction about using the paddle board - this was my first time on one. Truly amazing craftsmanship - so light and streamlined! My friend had his own Kayak and this was so much slower and harder than the paddle board. Will be back very soon and might try one of his canoes next time.

The perfect weather today is always a bonus but what a fabulous day. Comprehensive instructions even for those of us who are experienced in canoes. 3 hour hire was only £35 in a 3 seater. Plenty of time to get into Norwich and back at a leisurely pace.Lovely, friendly and very knowledgeable owner.

Fantastic summers afternoon spent rowing this beautifully made, hand crafted canoe. Following impeccably detailed instructions and safety advice we set off for two wonderful hours, paddling along the back waters of Norwich. For only £25, incredible value for money. Thank you!

Had the most amazing and perfect peaceful day with dog in toe! Can’t thank enough for the amazing info and guidance given before hand.. even the tv crew around where impressed with safety advice we received and how to control our boat on the water in different weather conditions. That we got filmed - Honestly the best chilled day out Iv had for my birthday! We will be back with biscuit the Boston ! Love you are dog friendly too and think he was as blissed as we where!

My wife and I had a great time canoeing along the river. Many thanks to Mark for instructing us on how to deal with this boat. We made a long ride and got so much excitement, although it was our first conoeing experience. The canoe itself was great. It's maintained with love and passion. Highly recommend these guys if you want to canoe in a nice place.

This afternoon we took our fourth trip out in one of Mark’s beautiful hand-crafted canoes. As always Mark was incredibly welcoming, helpful and friendly. We took the route up to Trowse and saw plenty of wildlife (although no Kingfisher this time, but with sightings on 3 out of 4 trips we can’t complain). On Mark’s recommendation we took an extra diversion up past Whitlingham on our way back - very quite and beautiful waterway. Best of all, Mark gave us a preview of his latest creations - handmade paddle boards! Tested by my daughter, they glide across the water. We can’t wait to take them out for a full trip. We’ll be back soon! Thank you Mark.

Great experience today. Mark was extremely helpful and informative. When we called up to book he informed us that it was very windy on the river and would be harder than normal to row. When we arrived Mark had set up one of his canoes to allow both our children (3 and 5) to sit in the middle, he showed us how to control the canoe in the wind. We only wanted one hour and were expecting to pay the 2 hour price as is the minimum shown on the website but mark discounted it to reflect the time, which was very kind.

The guy was incredibly friendly and meticulous with the instructions, making sure we felt comfortable with what we were doing before departing which was reassuring since we’re beginners. We booked the Canadian canoe which are made by him and they were so beautiful and well crafted. We ended up being a bit late on our way back and he was so understanding. Our experience was incredible and would definitely recommend especially route to Bramerton!!

We had a great time today with Thorpe Island Boats. We rented a canoe for 2 hours and went up the river. The owner built all the canoes by himself. He is there to greet everyone and he gives a great introduction and helps out with the route and recommendations. Overall a wonderful day! Would definitely come back!

Absolutely gorgeous canoe. Brilliant tuition before we set off. Very knowledgable and enthusiastic. Sensible advice, but the best part was the equipment - all handcrafted and beautifully finished. Loved the experience.
