Had a fantastic evening at Preston Playhouse watching Avenue Q. Such a lovely little theatre and you are made welcome from the moment you step into the foyer. Such friendly and attentive staff. It is a compact seating area but I still found it comfortable. You are close enough to the stage to not miss a thing and the performance on the Friday night was excellent. There is a small bar with very reasonably priced drinks. Book your interval drinks beforehand to avoid queuing during the short intermission. Looking forward to going to the next show and would highly recommend anyone in Preston to use this lovely little theatre.

This was our first visit and I expected something like an unmodernised Victorian church hall. I was very impressed to find a bright, modern foyer and bar area with professional decor, adverts for future presentations and even a defibulator. The auditorium was clean, well decorated and warm with comfortable tip up seats. The lighting and sound systems were impressive too and the acoustics were such that the performers did not need microphones. Special parking permits for the pay and display across the road were available for a donation of 1 pound and last all winter for evening playhouse visits only.

Lovely theatre hidden away in the centre of Preston. Our daughter goes to Preston Players on a Saturday morning there and loves it. She has been in a few shows at the theatre and we have always had a great time. They offer a free parking pass for evening shows which is a bonus!

My 1st visit here after 25yrs living local. What a smashing venue, the staff are lovely and the bar was great with a good selection and very reasonable prices. I have booked again for the Cilla night and going with friends to make a night of it. The car park deal for £1 is a winner and located just over the road. BIG TIP..GET THERE 30 minutes at least before performance as the car park fills up quickly during popular performance and hunting for parking will make you late. Also go to the Upper level on the right as there are more spaces and less flooding on the car park.

Always a great show, staff polite, friendly and willing to help.Toilets clean, but may be a quick check before the end of show to restock on soap, paper towels etc wouldn't go a miss.

Absolutely amazing night. First time we've been here definitely won't be the last. Cilla and the swinging 60's night. What a lady.. Sandy smith..Brilliant singer lovely personality. The two young ladies dancing were fantastic too. The bar prices was a bit of a shock wish we had got in earlier very cheap. Lovely little theatre can't wait for our next show. Thanx to all the volunteers aswell.

Just watched Avenue Q tonight, absolutely amazing ! Lovely little friendly theatre and will be frequenting again, it's really important to keep places like these open

Lovely intimate venue with some great performances to match. I've seen a pantomime here and more recently a showing of Avenue-Q which was exceptional. I must keep an eye out for future offerings and hope to be back soon!
