They make me want to kick my own bucket a little less and the place is stunning too so I really can’t complain. Love that it’s tucked away in this quiet corner of what is normally a busy area.

These guys are literally lifesavers and worth their weight in gold. They have supported me twice now and I felt held, listened too and understood. They do exactly what it says on the tin. They listened to everything in a very kind, caring, supportive and professional way. Thank you all.

My daughter had a difficult experience here. Granted these are volunteers offering to help others for free, but that doesn't give them a free pass to be negligent. My daughter's listener was always late, coupled with that she ended the session 10 mins early, so some sessions were 30 mins top. The listener forgot her name, mixed her up with other clients and belittled her pain and dismissed it, yet when my daughter spoke out there was silence. No acknowledgement. No phone call or email to check in on a suicidal person. You all know how bad she felt after that listener, yet the listener went away with their day, free to callously behave that way again. Let me guess, my daughter is the problem due to her mental health? She was promised a check in phone call months ago she did not receive and I doubt ever will. Why do I have to write this review or remind you to do something you said you would do out of the freedom of your own mouth? Don't make promises you can't keep. Don't higher weirdo people and not reprimand their cold behaviour that worsens a client's mental state, and don't pretend you care on your Google response. Cheers.

Great place!! Beautiful, clean and welcoming environment where great caring individuals volunteer their time to help others. Excellent, please donate to their great work if you can as they are not funded.

I've had a great experience with the listening place. Referral was quick and all volunteers are very caring and understanding. Couldn't recommend more if you're struggling and need a place to talk completely without judgement

The fact that this place exists is a magical thing. You can be seen quickly, the workers on the phone are polite and the receptionists and the staff all seem to want to help you. I came last year and had a lovely listener called Sue. This year was a bit trickier for me, finding the right listener I felt safe around, but when I expressed this, I was validated and they looked for a specific listener they felt could relate to me, which I greatly appreciated. Only issue was, obviously no one is perfect, and my listener said things that would make me feel worse and I often felt invalidated and not listened to and her time management was an issue and I was left feeling rushed and unimportant.I was unfortunately unable to finish my sessions due to this and because I had been too scared to speak up at the time, due to my fear of others disbelieving or ignoring me or my longterm fear of others being angry with me, I instead wrote an email.I was grateful to be sent an email back straight away with an offer for someone to call me up to check on me. Only trouble is, the young person who rang me, had not read my email with clarity, so all their suggestions about my treatment made me feel ten times worse.I was still sad days later and rang up to express my disappointment. I spoke to another young caller, who once again made suggestions that did not relate to my upset or how I felt. I was once again, left not feeling listened to, which is quite ironic, giving the name of this place. Now it's been a month or so and I'm still recovering, but what hurts is, after what happened, I feel forgotten and unimportant. If I expressed I was hurt by the behaviour of a listener and the somewhat dismissive manner of a caller, and that my mood is low, I don't quite feel its okay that I've just been forgotten about. All I'm saying is, in the future, please be mindful of this with other service users who could potentially feel even worse than me.I know this place is a Godsend, but I was left to slip through the cracks and forgotten about, and I don't believe I or anyone else deserves to feel worse than they did after attending this beautiful centre

This place was heaven sent when I was at my lowest. The help I received here was the best during the time and my NHS therapy sessions did not even do half of the healing I received from The Listening Place. I am so grateful and happy about what you guys stand for.
