Don't bother rude staff, Doctors are ok, Reception I wouldn't trust to run a bath. Reception hung up on me and I wasn't rude. Just no more care is given shame as this surgery used to be really good. now fallen so far. Shameful!

Why do I even bother with this Surgery… had my ears looked at by Dr Nimmy, gees I thought she was trying to look out the other ear. Never has such a rough experience before. Sadly they know any decent surgery isn’t taking on any additional patient so you are suck here

The worst GP ever. My 6 months old boy was wrongly diagnosed and we have ended up in hospital as the doctor at GP said he was teething but in fact he had really bad urine infection and doctors in the hospital said that there is no way child symptoms would be that bad because of teething.I’ve asked for a urine sample check for him to make sure everything is fine after antibiotics treatments at the hospital and I’ve been calling all time for a month to get the results and the receptionist response was that the doctor will call me back - never did. Now after a month I have filled out another online consultation and I’ve been asked to do another urine sample for my boy because apparently in the previous results there were some abnormalities but because it’s been over a month ago it needs to be done again - can you imagine how hard it is to get a urine sample from 6 month old baby ?.Already in process of changing GP practice.

The one who answers the phone calls are very incompassionate. They work in health care and they just dismiss people without even bothering to think of how urgent their conditions are, they don’t even ask questions.“I am afraid there’s no appointment today. U have to call back tomorrow.” And they say this same thing everytime you call. Wow! Hopefully u’d experience the same thing when u are in pain. Unbelievable to think that this is the service we receive for all the huge amount of taxes we pay for.

I wouldn’t give any stars if it were possible. Reception staff seem to lack any understanding or empathy. I can never get a call-back appointment because reception seem to believe my symptoms aren’t classed as an emergency. I then have to call 111 who then call the surgery and get an appointment for me!! I highly suggest it would be of great service if the team were given formal training and not try and play god with people’s ailments. Most individuals call the surgery because they’re unwell. It would really help to have a team that were kind and caring, and not be spoken to like they don’t matter. It used to be a great surgery some years back but due to my recent experiences with the reception staff I’m applying for another surgery.

I understand any surgery is busy but after waiting 30 minutes for my turn to talk to a receptionist to book an appointment I'm told I'd have to use the push doctor app, this is fine because I asked that I'd be able to get a consultation for the next day to help me with an issue that's really effecting me and the receptionist clearly assured me that this would be the case and I would absolutely be able to get an appointment for the next day. Only to find there are no appointments for another week.A clear case of over promising and delivering nothing.

The worst surgery in Southampton, avoid at all costs!!!I wish there was negative stars rating, because this surgery doesn't even deserve 0 stars. It took my wife 3 trips to the surgery and argues over argues with the receptionists to receive a sticky label for her urine sample, which the receptionists didn't even know they print in this practice. We never got to see a GP ever since Covid started, rude phone calling staff and they don't even know the basic manners when dealing with their patients. I wonder where they hire the staff from, do they have a most stupid" criteria on their hiring list? Most of the time the receptionists and their staff don't even know the name of the planet they live on

The worst GP I've come across in the southampton area. With doctors forgetting to request prescriptions, rude staff, very long wait times with next to no appointments available. A BIG reform wound need to happen to improve this place unfortunately.

No improvements, new receptionist in, not been there 5 minutes. Apparently it's okay to refuse an appointment for someone suffering sleep apnea and seeking advice on ADHD plus lack of hand movements. Not important apparently, regardless of saying how he was choking in his sleep and stopped breathing at one point. Absolutely disgusted with the sarcasm. No improvements what so ever! No care from the receptionist. In case the manager cares she was the new one with the foreign accent. Completely neglectful and taking this to our ongoing case with the ombudsman. We have had problems for over 2 years. Moving surgeries too. Nice to know we can't even speak to our doctor anymore without a receptionist dictating how we can't. Also don't even try to book your kids in, they won't do it unless all your details are hooked upto their new app. Ridiculous. Worst surgery ever!!!!!

AVOID!!! Disgusted with this surgery and have now changed me and my children. Trying to get an appointment to actually see a doctor even for an under 16 is impossible. My son had impetigo which is highly contagious and needs antibiotic treatment as soon as possible. Point blank refused to give me an face to face appointment. Even though it states on the NHS website itself, to go to your GP so they can check that its not any other underlying skin conditions and just impetigo, as some can look similar. They said I can have an morning telephone. Have a phone call from a nurse NOT A DOCTOR like I asked! For her to conform it is impetigo and she would give him a prescription (this is around half 11ish). Go to the chemist at 3:30! His prescription is not there. Ring Victor Street Surgery again to be told that the prescription cannot be processed until a doctor signs it off which is just absolutely useless! The doctors finish at 6:30pm so it will be done by then. Go to my chemist at 8pm to be told its still not been processed so no doctors bothered to sign the prescription! Within hours my childs impetigo has spreaded more then what it had too due to pure NEGLECT!!! And missing another day of his education as cannot go into school until 48 hours of having his first dose of the antibiotics. I stated all of this and that I have an under 5 also at home, with not a care in the world from the surgery. If the receptionist would of just given my son an appointment which wouldn't of lasted no longer then 5 minutes. Almost an whole 24 HOURS TILL HE GOT HIS MEDICINE!!!
